  1. JUst like the topic says people. I have a trip planned for March next year for a 6 day trip to the three kings in new zealand fishing for monster kings. I have got 2 spots available. Splitting cost between all crew evenly! If your interested please either call me or sms me on 0401261632. Thanks. Andrew.
  2. I fished yesterday and fought a barrel for just over 1.5 hours. The fish was at the boat 3 or 4 times but just outta gaff range. Well over 100kg! Was fishing just over the button on 37kg and backed off when the fish was close to the boat for obvious reasons. The fish had just about given up and was 30 foot under the boat, slowly crackin it up when pop!! My heart sunk! Found the mainline popped when the double meets the windon. The loop to loop connection let go. The dacron cut through brand new 80!! Not very happy at all. Doubt ill be using windons again for barrels...
  3. Weather can be an issue... but! Iant it everywhere offshore? I went for 7 nights was able to get 5 days... not bad. Went in october
  4. Norfolk Island!! Went in october this year.. what a place. As many 20 to 40kg kings as your arms n drags will hold! Markin this time of the year. Big yellowfin tuna. Dollies. Wahoo... jeezz! Im back next october
  5. I can say that the uni knot never once failed me on monster kings well over 25 to 30kg off Norfolk Island in october. Using 150lbs leader she did the trick. Improved albright braid to leader then uni leader to jig. Thumbs up! Not one knot pulled

  17. Mate I feel for you!! I had to leave a day early from crew crew at port stephens yesterday my crew hooked 2 fish. 9 am a small black around 45kg with was landed... then an hour later hooked a monster blue they say easily over 200kg. Fought for over 7 hours!! Yes 7 hours on standup 24kg only to have it die after a massive 900mtr run to the bottom!! Couldnt get it off the floor... now thats shattering!
  18. Ended up with 1 dolly yesterday at 19.6kg and had w srrikes on skipbaits that the hooks didnt sink. All in all a great trip with an adverage of 2 to 3 hits a day on either lures skips or livebaits... learned a heap this year and will be looking forward to my next beakie trip. 100% improvement on last year so hopefully it can only get better. Ended the trip with 1 black and 1 dolly. Lost a very nice black well over 120kg due to line failing. Brand new shogun!!
  19. Gday damo we were the ones in the morning sending you around us for the bait. In the formula. We ended up pissing off from there when the weather come up and gpt smashed by a large black in 70 fathoms inside of the ship. Lost him though.
