  1. Last sat went up stream from Roseville bridge on the Hobie Revo. Mainly chasing bream, flatties, trevs, whiting, and the possibility of mullet as a side catch. Got to the park around 6:30 Rising tide paddled up to further reaches. Its wicked going up stream on a high tide, so many fishing options. Seeing schools of shrimp bait fish, not huge amounts but enough to make you think that the Predators (should be about) My main approach was using a Z man grub motor oil on a 1/8 jig head but was not giving me any love. :-( sooo switched to my go to, hook and peeled prawn. stealth attack. so went with this approach and got a little flattie, bunch of little bream and a nice trev to have for dinner. on the run out tide, .... shock. at a spot (undisclosed info) A ESTUARY PERCH!!!!!!!!!!!! seriously been fishing this area since i was a sprout. amazed. I would be sooooo happy if this area became a good EP spot. Makes me pissed of the EP swallowed it down its gullet..... soooooo sad, there was nothing i could do, if i tried to pull the hook out it would of ripped out a bunch of its gills/ stomach and damaged the pup even more. :-( Such a rare fish for a area. i'm gonna bring a pair of long nose pliers to snap the hook to get the hook out AND hopefully pull out the hook and send the fish back home with out much damage, I'd have to cut the hook in half and pull it opposite from the barbs. Hope the Ep is good.
  2. Nice work mate. I only for the first time tried sashimi for the first time a few weeks back and thought it was fantastic. Really good surprise!!! Must bleed gut cool down to enhance the flavor. Been chasing more trevs ever since!!

  4. Narrabeen lake, couple of months back was fishing deep creek for flatties, and was so bloody close to stepping on meter width ray in about 50cm of waters. SCARED THE SH*T out of me!!!!
  5. Good fun mate. the silver fish are Sand Whiting (great eating!!!!) the first pic from left to right. the second is a juvenile Tailor. Good fight (when bigger) not that bad eating. i like them but lots of people don't rate them.
  6. the shoulders on that flattie are chunky!!! nice fish mate. Its always nice to hear release stories.
  7. Dude, when ever i come across people like that.... Not understanding of size limits and bag limits. i don't even ask if they are going to put it back and just throw the bucket of fish back into the water. Im pretty sure most of them know what they are doing is illegal... No fish cakes for you i say when releasing the fish. :-) Nice crab, good to see eggs on her.
  8. i've caught some big gar in that lake. i use little chunks of peeled prawn on very light line small hook no sinker. i'm fishing of the yak tho and gets hairy when they jump around the yak with those teeth glaring!!!

  16. nah thats not bay view. but if you launch at bayview then stick to the coast until you get to the mariner and pool try there for live yakks last time i was there the place was swarming with them!
  17. is that picture of the kayak and the sunset at bayview? cause to the left of that picture there is a good spot near the mariner where the swimming pool is. just anchor up a couple of metres of and burly the shit out of it. you know how it works. where abouts do you go for kings when you use live bait. im usually middle harbor man cause its closer. went out long reef last weekend, and got some solid snapper. the bigger ones around the 50cm mark seemed to prefer stinky prawn which has been sitting in my yak for day. good fun.
