how successful is just mashing the stuff into small pieces then throwing it in where the lines are? grapefruit sizes seem a little big
  3. Yea it sounds pretty cool, I wouldnt mind getting one. 6000 doesn't seem to be many with regards to fish, but catching 6000 wouldnt exactly be the easiest task. I wonder what would happen if half of em get eaten by sharks
  4. Hmm it sounds great I'm just wanting to see an article to find out more
  5. whoa this is all new to me. any idea how big they are and are you sure there's this many around?
  6. Ah jewies go up there, I remember a relo caught a small jewie in salt pan once, the only jew I've seen caught too believe it or not. Only a small one, less than 30cm but still a jew none the less. Trevally in the Georges, thats a new one though, well far in anyway.
  7. Damn never expected that, always was something I was curious about though.
  8. nice lookin king ya got there
  9. I noticed a guy mention the bronzey in narra lake and was wondering has anyone spotted sharks or caught them in georges river? I mean Tom Ugly's and Captain Cooks is part of the same water ways but I was curious about further up. Theres signs even up to Lake Gillawarna saying 'sharks' in the water which is pretty cool, never heard of an instance involving one apart from nearer towards Botany.

Yea I'm talking about the pellets. Your saying let them dissolve say in a bucket with water then start throwing that water back in slowly?

Whats the best way to use this stuff? Ive never used it before and bought 3KG of the stuff for $10, heard it works pretty well and saw another bloke get it so I thought why not, 3KG for $10 instead of 1KG for $5. Just wondering if someone can help me out whats the best way to use it, how much and so on, especially for shore fishing considering thats what I do.
  12. Looks like a really good idea, should do a lot to help the people and the animals
  13. Whats the best way to attach a floater? Anyone got a simple rig for different types of floaters? and approximate weights with regards to the waterways.

    Flathead

yea I thought the best way might be just to use a rag on hand and try to hold them like that, then again I thought it might pierce through that. Not exactly gonna go taking gloves with me though, I'm just a casual shore fisherman

    Flathead

Whats the best way to hold these buggers? I know I've only done it once or twice but damn, fins underneath and on top. Any good suggestions?

    Floater

Whats the best way to attach a floater? I know I've done it sometimes and it's turned out great, other times the whole float just simply sinks below the water, is it because the sinker is too heavy or im just doing something seriously wrong?
  17. Nice fish mate, lets hope its not the last aye
  18. They sure did, and they survived believe it or not.
  19. What's been the best catches for you guys in these areas or so. I think mine was a nice bream close to say 40cm, reeled the bastard and it just dropped when I pulled it out of the water at Tom Ugly's. This is shore fishing of course. Other than that just the odd keeper. Family friend gota few nice sized mullets often at chippy norton lakes
  20. yea bloody boats, the bastards just rip it up as though theyre just trying to piss the shore fisherman off
  21. I know I've eaten fish from there, not lately though, mostly cause I've been trying to keep more to the outer area of Georges River (Tom Ugly's), and the water isn't all too clear in Georges River either. I'm surprised you hooked that many to be honest, I havent had a keeper from there in a long time, last time I went to Picnic Point was a few days ago and not even a bite, after half an hour I was out of there. Congrats though
