  1. Nice work. We were not too far from you on Sunday morning and also got a 55cm Kingie, a heap of nice trevally and a few good bream....looks like we both picked the right day!!
  2. Thanks Scratchie, Ethan still has a smile on his face from the fight the kingie put up!!
  3. We released all the fish we caught (I am Ethan's dad). We kept the leatherjacket in the live bait tank in case we got a few more but ended up releasing him as well when we got back to the boat ramp. Even the yakkas we got in Sugarloaf that survived in the live bait tank overnight got released when we had no need for them. All in all it was a lot of fun on very light gear!!
  4. Thanks for that Luc, appreciate your comments. It is now almost 9pm and as I type we have live yakkas out in middle harbour again hoping for another jewie.
  5. Well done mate, and great to hear you released it!!!
  6. Hi Guys. I am new here although my son Ethan13 has been here for a while. We have a 550C Bar Crusher with a 115hp Yamaha and usually fish Middle Harbour and caught our first jewie (72cm) last Sunday night which was pretty special for us!! We also fish bendalong on the south coast during holidays and just got back from a trip down there where we got on to some very nice Snapper. I'm not a huge fan of the beach boat ramp there but the fishing more than makes up for it!! Hope to see you guys out on the water some time, Pete
  7. Same for us at Leonay. We usually use Tunks Park at Cammeray and it takes about an hour because we leave at 4am. It's roughly the same for Botany Bay but a bit longer to Brooklyn.
  8. I often stop at Plonk for a coffee which is next to The Spit on the Mosman side. There is even a nice little beach there to pull up on if your boat isn't too big.
