  3. Hi Raiders, well we started off early sunday about 6:30am headed to the top of Paddy's Channel and the surroundind areas. we threw little squidgys, berkley jerk shads, berkley worms everything we had at the water for zippo, then at about 10:00am we pumped a few nippers and drifted in the dirty water around Half Tide Rocks, for zippo. Then my good mate Hutcho and I were about to give it away after we had drifted all the way down to Ettalong when we finally got a nice bream 30cms, so we drifted back over the spot and got a nice flattie 45cms, the next couple of drifts saw 3 beautiful big fat whiting come into the boat they were between 31 and 35 cms. So we finally found the fish all taken on nippers all along the sand flat at Ettalong, all in the last hour of our fishing trip, 2 to 3 in the arvo. So keep trying in the murky water , the fish are there, even if, like us , it takes nearly all day to find them.. Ray R and Hutcho...
  4. Hi Raiders, well 2 mates and myself went for a jewie hunt on Satdee arvo/evening, got some nice little yakkas from Little Box Head, scooted over to West Head and quickly spun up 3 lovely squid all kept live and kicking in the livy tank, then down to Juno Point and anchored up in line with the other hopefull anglers that were there. It is abuot 4:30pm now and we through everything at 'em, all types of rigs , different line weights, different live baits, but unfortunately sat there till 8:00pm with not even a sniff. Guess they just were not around Satdee or are we doing it all wrong. I dont think all the other boats that were there had any luck, could hear any cheers of joy or excitement.. Cheers Ray R...
  5. Hi fellow anglers, I'm going out off Box Head with a mate of mine early tomorrow morning and not being an off shore reef or gravel patch expert I was hoping to get some pointers on reefs and or flattie drifts from people that do know and dont mind sharing, or maybe there is a website with maps , we just need a little bit of info. Hope someone out there will be kind enough to assist. Cheers Ray R...

  8. HI ANGLERS, Went out last night with my mate Hutcho, drifted around lobster beach for a couple of smallish lizards, then stocked up on some yakkas and floated them around little box, not much there so we went around to our little hole just east of the rip bridge and we finally got a couple of bream and this lovely big lizard. We came in to ramp about 11:00pm. A good arvo, evening that finished up well.. A question ? one of the live yakkas I had out there for a while stopped bouncing around so I brought him in to change him for a fresh one and he had what looked like maggots all over him. Any info from anyone Iwould like to know what all those little wriggler things were........ Cheers Ray R..
  9. Hi fellow anglers, just got back from a good session, firstly just near the Rip Bridge for a few nice bream, a couple my mate Hutcho and I didn't get into the boat were thumpers, still it was fun fishing in the rain with a steaming hot cuppa. We then up anchored and went for a flattie drift at Half Tide Rocks, we scored a couple of nice flatties and released a couple of little ones. Then we had a quick fish just near little Box Head, not much there so we came home. Hutcho and had a fun and productive morning just fishing in rain, hey that sounds like a good title for a song. See Ya... Ray R...

  12. HI RAIDERS, had a heap of fun drifting around H. T. Rocks this morning. Got smashed by flatties , 6 in total with a few dropped as well. I kept a couple to feed my ravenous sons. The plastic that got hammered is a berkely 5" jerk shad called Pepper Neon. I'm gonna try to attach a couple of pics. Hope the info is good for fellow raiders... Cheers Ray R...

  14. Hi all, A mate and I went drifting just off Ettalong(Central Coast) last Sunday 4th Feb, caught some nice flatties and had a ball with the soft plastics. We took 3 home 41cm, 43cm, and 47cm all the others were smaller (about 10 or so), still had a lot of fun. It was my first time out in the little tinnie with no bait at all and it wont be the last. Flatties love the SP,s thats for sure..
