hello fellow raiders,
haven't posted in a while but willing too make a few more posts. Started the day playing a game of rugby union. We got beaten as we were 6 players short with no bench. I got home and decided to go chase a few drummer. I went down to the little corner knowing that it was pretty promising for a few good black drummer. First cast got smashed second cast smashed again just using small bits of bread. Burlied up for abit and then next cast, BANG... The line was zooming and I was cheering. Got it to the rocks and landed it it was a good drummer, roughly about 36cm.
Kept on casting and landed a tiny little fella
Let him go to grow old and hopefully to catch in the future. Called dad and told him to come for a fish, the sun was going down slowly when we were deciding to leave. I thought. To have a few more casts when bang... This thing hit like a truck, and from the blue after a long and tough fight come up a nice 45cm drummer!!!
All up ended a fun fish with two good drummer!!!
Went back down to the same spot the next day chasing a few groper using some fresh crabs. Got a few good hits but all of a sudden bang! The line was screeming. After a great little fight up came a nice brown groper!
Thanks for reading!!!!

The jetty your on is on back creek of south west rocks. Creek runs along side horse shoe bay caravan park. Very nice spot mate. Some good whiting over near those big ass jetties on a high tide throughout the sand bar

G'day raiders,
It was 10:30 and we had to check out of our apartment so dad came up with a brilliant idea that we should fish in little rivers and creeks the whole way back to port Stephens! So we had a quick stop at the largest tackle shop in Australia and headed down Coast! Wasn't that tackle shop heaven!
First stop was urunga which did not present any fish! The next stop was nambuka which also disappointed but the next spot definately didn't! We ended up in south west rocks where I chucked out a soft plastic on this random little pontoon that we found but got nothing! We then changed tactics and chucked in some unwaited bread on a normal rod and bang I was on to a nice 30cm bream!
I then decided to chuck out my new fly that I just bought and on my secomd cast yes I was onto my first fish! It was the most fun I've had in ages! Finally landed my first fish and it was another good bream but this one only at 27cm still a lot of fun on a fly rod and so stoked to land my first fish!
We ended up spending the rest of the day at that spot catching a lot of bream with various sizes !
Hope you enjoyed my post!
