  1. Geoff, not an expeert on the poly boats but I know a couple of guys with smaller one's who like them, just one thing I was shocked at is there weight in the bigger ones the 5.99 hull is 900-950kg and the package comes in at 1950kg same as alot of big glass boats just something to consider.

    Coming Soon

Bashir, he did say on an OK day, I have been out chasing samon on a half decnet day in my 630F and have guys in small tinnies right beside me like all boats it all dependeant on conditions, and you dont need to head out, botany bay with a good wind is rougher than being outside some times, for what the Tritons are designed for they are great looking boat.
  3. Jon, you also forgot to mention the part about social fishing hours we fish, I gave Jon and Lance on the second day a run down on when to go out, go to the cafe around 8.30am for breakfast talk shit deicde when hit the water by about 10.00am no early mornings. as Jon found out everyone at the PFT is pretty easy going and willing to share info and tips well worth the effort to go to if you want to get into offshore marlin fishing.
  4. its 22 miles from the heads, great effort with the fish and that size boat and with the right conditions not a bad run, but like last year we used in my old boat(115hp 2 stroke) 150L for the day trolling around there and back, and the following day called it off as we where only half way there and used 60L in not crash hot conditions , always watch the weather regardless of how good the fish are
  5. Bashir, I run a 460GPH for the live bait tank and have a seperate sureflo deckwash pump on mine.
  6. Bashir, I actually changed mine to a 1500 GPH and used the origanal johnson for the live bait tank, I think there pump from standard is to small for a good wave over the side when you need to get it out quick.
  7. [ foreshore drive is easy for me to access. they are doing major revamps there at the moment, but everything is still ok, just looks messy. certainly a better run outside, much closer but sometimes can cause havoc for those that cant load boats onto trailers. changa 21584[/snapback] Changa, have not been there for at least 12 months are they dredging again or moving the ramp, your right if you get a couple of boats that cant reverse down with there cars its lucky to fit one boat, used to be a great ramp when they firtst fixed it 20 years ago
  8. David, other than using light oil on the rollers, I use Silicon spray on the reels and and give the rods a wipe with it make it easier to clean and keeps them looking new water just beads up after a hose down after a day out, just remember to do your drag up like mentioned and then when dry loosen them off, what I also do is get a bucket of warm water and pour it over the spools as warm water will get rid of most of the salt where cold water wont, the more time you spend looking after your gear the longer it will perform and last.
  9. Chnaga, good to here that you got into them, was planning to go out sunday but thought witht the racing on, the ramps would be crazy and decided to stay home with the , Dave and I plan to be out this weekend, I thnk I got him itching for fishing again
