Well done mate good result . Are the hair tail any good for eating ?

You will find the police were only patroling known trouble spots for noise and anti social behaviour and would move along anyone causing issues or without a fishing license to reduce residents complaints in those areas

Iv heard a couple of times around entrance way that fisheries inspectors were assaulted by people who kept undersize fish and aren't happy to be told they're breaking the law. Hence the police escort

Mate I respect the fisheries inspectors and what they stand for .... but I would have been pretty insulted by that kind of behaviour. And forcing you to cut off the hook off your livie handline ? What a joke. Also my understanding is that your only allowed to be operating 4 fishing lines at any one time, never heard anything about number of lines set up.
I respect the fact that they have a job to do but they shouldn't make people feel like criminals when they're not

Awesome fish and congrats on the new PB.
I too hold my PB trev from the mighty cooks. They are steam trains with fins.

Jewwie on a pillie tail !!! How lucky are you haha
Amazing one of the toughest fish to catch and yet the humble frozen pillie did the job.
Anyway , well done and nice catch that's a thumping bream
Cheers

Hi guys
I've been fishing Botany Bay lately and have mainly kept to the northern side of the bay around the runways etc.
I was hoping to try around Towra and those areas, I know there is a conservation area there and was wondering if anyone could provide a link showing the maps/extent of the reserve.
Cheers
Sam

Great report as usual fellas and congrats on the new PB that's a really fat stonking bream and good on you to let that beauty live to grow bigger.
Maybe the full moon has something to do with the increased fish numbers ?

Hi mate I'm no expert but if you use the search function on this site you will find heaps of posts/reports.
You'll need to spend a couple of hours researching but eventually ul gather enough info to give you some direction.

Interesting. I'd get excited if I saw that and then cry for the next hour while i wasn't catching anything... I'd then persist to swear all the way home and cry to the Mrs about how rubbish I am at fishing... (Note this happens on a regular basis!)
Looking forward to tonight!
Haha I love the brutal honesty ! It happens to me too

New Zealand is renowned for it's abnormally large fish, guess that also applies to it's freshwater species too!
