yer storage is a bit of a pain but within 10 minutes of fishing my boat has gear scattered all over the place anyway don't know how anyone hasn't had a 10/0 through the foot yet

I have a 580 tomahawk centre cab which is my second formosa iv had and soon be getting a new one they are great to fish out of . The ride is as good of a ride as you can get i think and loves the following sea and iv got a 140hp suzuki with a full tank of fuel and 3 fat blokes and gear it will do 33 knots only things i don't like is not enough storage and the height of the wind screen I'm 177cm and i seem to be looking through the top frame when standing up driving

transducer--airmar B260 5K NOISE REJECTION ---LOW SCROLL---X2 SURFACE CLARITY --MED PING---MAX SENSITIVITY ---46 COLOURLINE---90 try that as a starting point might help i have my transducer tilted forward a fair bit as well reads better i think

i have the same transducer but on a 10hds i can have a look at the settings i use i get about 450m while trolling little bit deeper when drifting it did take me a while messing with all the different settings i don't know what half of them do but it works good now

Was in lake mac yesterday and was listening to the action on the radio must of heard of 10 fish tagged was busting to go out today but couldn't get a crew together last night now as you said weather is rough for a few days

Hi all I fished out there 2 weeks ago and got a nice strip marlin bout 50 /60 kg just trolling skirts got the marlin just SE of allmark lots of bait also some small dollies on the fad water was about 21.5c Good luck

We'll Huey after reading your post it's clear I should have went another etec and not the suzuki because the 135 e will be much quieter and better on fuel then the suzuki much the same as was promised from the 90 etec but that's not what I found also I've just come back from a trip up to Darwin and seen a lot of charter boats didn't see any with etecs seems they like four strokes also

hi all Im new to the site and found some great reports,info all great reading anyway Iv had a 90 etec on a 520 formosa and was great but sold the boat and brought new 580 formosa with 140 suzuki and i would never go back to the etec i thought the etec was quiet and good on fuel mate there is no comparison you can hardly hear the suzuki run at idle and at 25knts quiet as pushes my boat as 34nkts wot and great on fuel slightly slower out of the hole then the etec but overall i love it cheers
