Does anyone know of any good Land based squiding spots on the central coast, i was thinking of trying putty beach any other spots that come to mind? thanks guys

Hey raiders, Does anyone feel that the Ne winds for the next two days will push enough warm water down towards west reef and east reef to turn the fishing on for friday? Maybe even down to valient wreck or avalon? Thanks Guys, Joel

I bought a 8 pound roll for my soft plastics form Amart all sports and it had exactly the same thing but the knot was alot smaller, i stupidly never took it back, new to the game i figured maybe it was supposed to be like that Hasn't broken yet and i've been fishing a good 4 months with the knot in play Joel

Thanks heaps for the responses guys, Ill probably cast out one night and do some sp fishing while i wait, ive caught 12 65cm plus flathead in one night there over about 3 hours so ive got plenty to do while i wait, (theres nothing like trying to decide which fish to keep and which ones to throw back when they're all keepers) its one of those golden spots when it comes to flathead so hopefully its the same for jewies, Thanks again Joel

Has anyone fished for jewies around bar point? I have a mate who owns property down there, his jetty faces the deep channel just near bar point, I was thinking of casting out a paternoster rig with some fresh squid on it hope fully i can get it out the just after night fall on a full moon, Any other hints or tips? Ive fished there with sp and used the squidgeys flick baits and also the bugs that float on top with some success haven't used hb there before, I haven't fished there heaps but when i have they've worked Good luck

Hey guys, i have the valiant wreck on my gps but i've never been there to fish, how does it fish and are there any tips you guys have to getting the most out of a trip there? Are there any rules i should know about when fishing near it such as am i even allowed to? Thanks Guys

I think i've been there around 8 to 9 o'clock, only because i've been picking up big flat head at half tide rocks, i might start going there first then coming back for the flatties

Maybe my hooks have been to big, i just remember same time last year catching heaps and every time dropping a unweighted bit of squid or pillies and picking off 6 a trip in about 10 minutes, last couple of times i've caught one yellow tail, does the cold water we've had recently or the current make them move further off towards box head?
