Hey guys Went down to Clifton Gardens off the jetty a couple days ago really early and got a few live yakkas into the eski ready for dawn.. Once the sun started hitting the water Kingys were smashing bait schools everywhere but would not take the live yakkas at all..Lots of surface action for the next 2-3 hours Caught a decent size squid and threw it out whole straight away but nothing Tried lures and everything to see if i could get them on the bite but they just werent interested.. Guess it was just one of those days but we did manage a nice bream and the squid was pretty big.. No pics this time as i left the camera at home Might head there over the weekend again n try my luck Josh

Thanks Dave..yeha we were going to release it because of its size but once it was in the boat and all the blood everywhere it was ready to kick the bucket...so we kept it We thought it was going to be abit dry on the plate but we must have cooked it beautifully because it tasted awesome!

First time report on the site We had a really bad day on the hawkesbury a few days earlier and contemplated never fishing again... But we did...Me, my brother and my cousin took the boat out n were on the water at about 6am..we flew out to the wedding cakes just abit before high tide to see how we could go for some kingies Was abit slow so we moved to a faithful spot that almost always produces..started catching a fair few trevally and ended up with about 15 of em and some good bream too.. We had some livies out on the bigger rods waiting for some kingies to munch into em..wasnt having much luck though Then my brothers rod starts movin around abit looked like his livie was scared outta its life.. "I think my livie is scared of something" he says as he lifts his rod up to have a feel...then all of a sudden it doubled over and he was on.. After a few screams of happiness and runnin around the boat to get the net he was getting abit closer to the boat.."Oh S*** i think its a big ray" But it wasnt...it got abit closer and we realised it was a big fat flattie We were alot happier knowing it wasnt a ray haha and after a good few minutes and a bit of trouble she gave us near the boat we got it in the net and in the boat Took some pics after abit of screaming and laughing Went 80cms and just under 4kgs This was the catch for the whole day.. Was a nice day out on the water.. We will be trying again 2moro on the harbour So stay tuned.....haha

Hey all just wondering situation is i have rods flying everywhere in the garage looking for something to hold them up vertically or sumthing so its not such a mess! Maybe wattos has sumthing i can use? any help would be great thanks alot Josh

Hey all Just wondering what the easiest way to catch leatherjacket is? ie. rigs, bait, hook size, tide, location etc. i kno they have small mouths etc and also are they good eating? thanks alot Josh

Hey just wondering if there are any plastics for deeper water...and also that can handle a fair bit of current? i know you would probly need some heavy jig head or sumthing to get it down any1 know of some products? Thanks alot Josh

Hey Guys i know this will be a big topic bcos soft plastics are the rage Just wondering what kind of plastics you guys think work great with flathead in particular and size? I've been using 3" Power minnow in a Pearl Watermelon colour working great might i add just wondering if theres some out there that you guys have experienced some great fishing with if u could post up some experiences or stories u may have had ill greatly appreciate it Thanks Alot Josh

I have a pink yozuri squid jig abround 2-2.5 No weight on it at all ahvent had too much experience with these kind of jigs should i just add a trace and have a sinker above the trace not going towards the lure? i just need to cast it a bit more Thanks for any help Josh
