    Ok, Ive asked the boffins down in the lab and they say
    Quote "Its called "Lordosis" and basically a forward (Downward in fish) curvature of the spine. Morwong, Drummer, bream etc have all been caught in this condition.The spline and Ptergiophores (Bones at the base of the dorsal fin) are intact and fully formed"
    I had to ask as I'm not that clever but did know in most cases not a injury.

    Ok I'm calling it a Banded Rockcod. Epinephelus ergastularius. Juvenile.
    Happy to be corrected but pretty sure thats the fish.

    My guess would be a Largescale Saury Sauria undosquamis. And big one at that.
    They have come up on here a few times.

    Unusual. Could be a Fishraider record.

    First one is a Fanbelly Leatherjacket.  Monacanthus chinensis.
     
    And the Second is a Juvenile Spangled Emperor. Lethrinus nebulous.
    My reason for the Emperor is you can see the blue spots starting to appear on the side where Grassys I believe don't have them.
     
    Thats my guess.

     "New Holland River Prawn"  Macrobrachium novaehollandiae

    Pretty sure its a Spangled Emperor. (Juvenile) Lethrinus nebulosus.
    Grassys don't have the amount of Blue spot or the blue lines coming down from the eyes.

    Hi Time28, caught a Frogfish up at Woy Woy Bay a couple of years ago, well my daughter did.
    Also, as there's a couple of different Frogfish. This ones a Eastern Frogfish. Batrachomoeus dubius.

    Rock Cale. Aplodactylus lophodont . 
    Caught plenty fishing for Blackfish off the stones but never eaten one and have heard they are very poor eating.

    Eastern Kelpfish.
    Have a look in Aquarium as they have come up a couple of times before.
    Not poisonous, eating wise, not sure as I don't know anyone who has eaten one. Mind you to get one big enough to eat would be a challenge.

    If I had to have a guess and it was caught on the south coast of NSW.
    Common Gurnard Perch. Noesebastes scorpaenoides Guichenot.

    Pretty sure the latin name is "Acanthistius ocellatus" though.

    I'g also call that a Blue Throat Wrasse. Notolabrus tetricus

    This one came up a while ago and I think the consensus was a Large Scale Saury. Sauria undosquamis.
    Sorry, but not being pedantic I'll call it that for the time being.
