  1. 12 hours on the water yesterday for 000.... That seal at Browns has got the blue eye/ gem fish steal down to a fine art
  2. Jim, Your great reports for all of us have been rewarded with good Karma. Hope it continues for your Kingy search!
  3. Thanks Scratchie, Will PM closer to the date. Cheers Clynton
  4. Hi Scratchie, I know I am pushing the envelope further but can I get the PM advice also... i have borrowed a mates trailer boat and will spend a week in Nelson Bay with the kids in February. Weird coincidence ....I noticed on your profile your born on September 28...so am I ....and so is the mate who is lending me the boat! Cheers Clynton
  5. Nice pictures and story !
  6. Great report Linc. After I moved up from Melbourne I caught my first legal Kingy within eyesight of the Opera house and I was hooked! The harbour has some amazing fish and scenic locations. Enjoy!
  7. Hi Linc, No speed limit but you will see no wash zones depending on where you launch... Around Gladesville Bridge Marina for example. Speed limit displayed for the area under the Harbour Bridge.Enjoy !

  10. How did you guys go ? Cheers Clynton
  11. That water spout made a hell of a mess of the yard :-)
  12. Wondering if anyone has owned or been for a ride in one of these big centre consoles from Bahrain. I am looking at buying one at the moment.Did it ride well? Was it a wet boat? Cheers
  13. Hi Fishon, Sorry for the delay in response. We use same technique as Kitto and make sure the rope is tied off.....but whatever you do make sure the guy handling the rope is not sandwiched by the slack line or rope!
  14. Awesome day! Controversial opinion ....I reckon a small mako tastes better than the blue eye! Enjoy.
  15. The fight you describe makes me think you hooked a blue shark...they look a lot like a Mako in the water...but fight like a log unfortunately. Before we bring small makos on board (I think they are one of the best eating fish around ) we all ways use a tail rope and tow them backwards.
  16. Hi Linc, Made the move in 2001....just before the snapper came back in force into Port Philip Bay :-( . It took me a while to get wired in but this website and the blokes on it were an absolute godsend! Plenty of people willing to share their knowledge. I fish Sydney harbour so can't give advice on Botany... But I still remember the day I pulled a king and then a bonito on my flick stick right infront of the Opera House with the Bridge in the background ...sent the pick to the boys in Melbourne. Had to convince them it wasn't photoshopped ! Bloody awesome . Enjoy!
  17. Nice feed ! But don't believe the old wives tale about Great Whites and seals...they eat dolphins too! Just ask the group in W.A who were diving with dolphins and were attacked. Cheers Clynton
  18. Hi Jdanger, Believe it or not.... Next time you or your mate gets spiked by a flathead, rub your wounded finger on the slime on the flatheads belly. It's slows the anticoagulant !
  19. Great first legal king buddy.Definitely not overkill on the tackle when you are land based around structure ! Tight lines Clynton
  20. Thanks Grant! Super informative . Pull your hair out...Yes! I will blame them for my bald head ;-) Cheers Clynton
  21. The salmon schools at the heads are driving me nuts.....can anyone post a picture of a fly that has actually landed a few please?
  22. Congrats buddy! Next level of addiction is when you get "smoked" by a hoodlum! After that you just keep looking for another fix!
