    Wangi is a great flathead drift. 3/8 jig head with gulp 4 inch jerk shads in melon or pumpkin should get yousome very nice flathead. Hour either side of the tide change is the best. And the shallower the water the better for the big flatties. 3-4m is best. As for the jews not sure up there anywhere where there is a hole and ledges possibly or creek mpuths on tide changes.

    Good catching there. Plastics are great once you get to know just how versatile they are. No smelly bait or mess either. Wait till a kingy or salmon pick up your plastic meant for a flat head.

    Yes a few mysterious bust offs. I never saw any sharks attacked hooked fish but some of myself and the fiances bust offs were suspicious

    Yes its the only way I know of. Except tuna. To answer the launching question we launched from murrys beach. Although all the kings were done on squid..

    Great little haul there. Use the crabs for bait next time if there not to digested already lol

    Towed the boat up to North Stradbroke Island at the start of march for two weeks. Fishing and weather up there were amazing. Got our first mackerel ever, first yellow fin, and first longtail tuna. Here is a link to a little snippet of long tail mayhem. Heaps of pics and videos to come but all and all a unreal trip.

    Good catch. Got some kings today myself.

    Did a session at jervis bay today. Great fishery. Got 6 legal kings on the 30lb gear and busted off a few times. Water still warm but a bit merky. Got over 30 squid but lost some to the kings. All and all a good day out.

    Westies and immigrants probably a negligent term. I agree with whats said in tetms of knowledge and experience. I know and surely your not that stupid that where you live and where you come from have zero to do with it. Everyone makes mistakes not only isolated to the incident but also your comments. Keep those life jackets on and help others where you can.

    What speed did you pick them up at? 6 knots?

    Tried our luck in sydney harbour yesterday morning. Found it hard to get squid but managed a couple. Went out to south headto troll the squid but conditions sloppy east wind with east swell whipped it up a bit Ended up with four flatties and a bream to take home all on plastics. No sign of kings anywhere on harbour. Anyone else found this?
