  2. hi all i live in hunter hill and am thinking of giving lane cove river a go. does any one know of any launching spots for a kayak and spots to take the kayak or land based spots. i am looking to go after bream, flathead whiting and maybe even jewfish. and can you also tell me what is the best lure or bait(rig) and what time is best. any help will be greatly appreciated charlie

  5. hi all hope you all had a merry christmas and a happy new year. i am wanting to troll for kingfish but i don't know what lures would work since i am fishing out of a kayak. i only have a small kayak so i can't go to fast. i also don't want any lure that is going to break the bank or heart if i lose it. i was thinking rapala x raps or something like that or maybe even a big squidgy slick rig since they have a nice action at a slow speed any help would be much appreciated charlie

  9. yer mate try along the bank where there is structure ie logs, reeds and shade. have multiple lures in your tackle box because one lure might work better than others have in past. it normally produces nice cod, yellow belly and redfin. good luck
  10. hi all i am still new to kayak fishing and am wondering if anyone has some good kayak spots in middle harbour for kingfish there whiling to share. I was thinking around the spit bridge and surrounding area for kingfish or may be even sugarloaf bay. also spots to get bait ie squid, yakkas because i have hear that fresh is best for kings and would like to target them on bait not lures. any info will be greatly appreciated. cheers charlie
  11. hi guys me and a mate where thinking of going fishing in manly dam out of kayaks. has anyone had any luck in the dam or is it worth a miss. can you please also tell me what you use to catch the bass. i am fairly new the bass fishing and want to get in to it. any help would be much appreciated. cheers charlie
  12. hi all i am in need of a good land based spot in sydney harbour(preferably middle harbour). would any of you fellow raiders care to share some spots where you can catch bread and butter fish or maybe even a king. me and a mate are planing to go out on sunday and we where going to go out on kayaks but his does not arrive till next week. so plan b is to go land based and try our luck. we where thinking balmoral wharf but that gets a bit packed on the weekend but if al does not work out then we might go to balmoral. if posable could you also tell me the best way to fish that spot any help will be much appreciated. kind regards charlie
  13. hi guys i am new to this website and am wondering if any of you guy would be willing enough to share your tactics on targeting kingfish and jewfish in middle harbour eg gear, spots, lures, bait etc. i will be fishing out of a kayak. i normally go fishing up around sugarloaf bay and roseville for the bread and butter species but i want to target something a little bit bigger then bream or whiting. any advise would be great and useful. kind regards charlie
