  1. It's all dependant on your capabilities.

I have just installed 2 seats on my Quintrex tinny. A lot of people are against swivel seats, however I find it to be easier as I steer tiller. If you were to buy seats, you would easily be able to find someone on fishraider including myself who could fabricate something for you.

If you need any help send me a message.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

  2. Hey mate. Should definitely be a few around that'll suit you. Generally the pure fresh fishers like the smaller yaks for maneuverability but at 6 10 might be a squeeze [emoji14] have a look at some of the American brands like Jackson they do a lot of larger yaks suited to big blokes. Their weight capacity is easily within the limits and they use em for bass fishing over there. 2nd hand one would be easy in your budget :)

    Witha,

Had a quick look at the Jackson Cuda! im really liking that one.

    Thanks for the help!

    Cheers,

    Paul.

  3. Possibly a typo, possibly incorrect information given.

I looked at another boat yesterday listed as 14ft half cab.

Turned out he was told his listing was correct because windshield + bimini = Half cab and it was also only 13ft....

    Very disappointing.

In some cases this can work in your favor though and an incorrect listing can become a blessing.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

  4. G'Day Raiders,

I'm looking into purchasing a kayak to fish the fresh and would like the opinions and suggestions of fellow Raiders.

Some of the criteria that i would like to meet follows:

Price: ideally under the 2k mark. Obviously the cheaper the better.

Condition: Second hand or new, no real preference.

Comfort: I plan to be fishing for multiple hours (minimum 2).

Location: In Sydney metro would be great, NSW wide should be OK.

Now to throw a spanner in the works, im 6"10 tall and pushing a buck thirty!

I'm not sure exactly what manufacturer specs are for Kayaks and if it is at all possible to find something that accommodates.

    Looking forward to the info!!!

    Cheers,

    Paul.

  5. Nice report MJ! Fishing out in Sydney's West has been slow for us too. Water has been a constant brown.

Not much action follows, hopefully the clearer water starts to run again in the coming weeks and the fish are back on.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

  7. Great report. Well done lads

Thanks Captain, it was great to land my first and a few bass!

Excellent report Paul and good onya Matt for sharing your expertise around. This is what Fishraider signifies to me...Good anglers who are prepared to help out other anglers. Cheers ,Neil.

Neil, my thoughts exactly! So stoked to have the support of this community behind me.

    Cheers,

    Paul.

  8. Fantastic write up Paul. Isn't it great to catch up with fellow raiders who are like minded people.

Bass fishing does come with a warning though, it's highly addictive! Well done :)

    Cheers scratchie!!!

Thanks Scratchie! Mate im keen to go out again already!

It just seamed to me like such a far fetched concept. I still cant believe they can be found in such skinny water!

And of course Matt is such a top bloke!

    Cheers,

    Paul.
