  1. Bream around the oyster leases is generally a good guess. Flatty in the channel or around the sand island, and there is usually some trumpeter whiting around, which have no size limit but a bag limit of 20, a few of those make good finger food when filleted or nice fish cocktails Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Thanks mate I'll keep that in mind! Really appreciate it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is a fantastic report. I was planning on heading to bellambi on Sunday but I might reconsider. It's probably worth going and sussing it out first rather than just turning up. Locals, is there another ramp which is still relatively close to the fishing off bellambi? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Hey raiders, I recently bought a shimano tyrnos 20 single speed, I planned on using it to troll for tuna, dollies, maybe even try my hand at jigging for kings or downrigging. What are your OPINIONS on what rod to match it to and what line test I should be looking at. I had in mind something like 50lb braid, 80lb leader and a 10-15kg rod... Would I be close? And how much drag would you run? Cheers all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Were you downrigging the livies? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Definitely get an AGM deep cycle though. They way out perform anything else and are generally under rated for what they are. And why not get a slightly bigger AGM and run nav lights, sounder etc off it so you don't go to crank over to head home and find a dead flat battery. Alternatively get two smaller (80ah) deep cycles and put them in parallel. Effectively 160ah of power. Should never run dead then Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Haha even going out for dinner tonight! Son of the year right fellas? Lol cook them up tomorrow night! [emoji1362] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So today is mums birthday. She's a keen fisho like myself. I had today off work with the intent of hitting the Harbour and just squiding as much as I can. So Mum Dad and myself hit the water at 6, motored down the parramatta river into the Harbour. We flicked a few jigs round early out the front of the zoo to no avail, except me losing a jig [emoji35] So we switched spots and a different tactic. Using 8lb braid on a 1000 sienna, 8lb leader and a shimano sonic pro 3-5kg. Multiple drifts over the next hour and dad and myself come up 0-0. Mum however 3 squid. Must be birthday luck right? The biggest going over 840mm outstretched! Absolute horse! None the less I'm stoked for mum, smile on her face says it all. Cheers raiders!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hey raiders, I've got a caenan 100, just after your opinion on what rod to match it with? From what I read it's got reasonable stopping power for a small reel, was planning to use it micro jigging over reefs. Cheers [emoji111]️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. We left Forster harbor this morning, headed up past blackhead to 'snapper rock' , then moved out to the 45m mark, came home with 2 flatty, 2 snapper, 2 nannygai and a mowy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hey raiders! Anyone here heading to Forster for the long weekend fishing? Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Hi, I have a mini jump starter in my boat full time. I haven't had to use it yet but I know this one I have is capable of starting a chev v8 ski boat WITH NO BATTERY CONNECTED. So yeh they would start your 50 no dramas. Pm and I can point you in a direction to get a good one not a junk eBay one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Awesome thanks mate, I love a feed of bream so id like to keep a few. Middle Harbour sounds like the go are there any decent squid locations around there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey guys I bought a bar crusher 575c just before Christmas and it came with a Raymarine A57d chart plotter sounded in it already, but I have a lowrance elite7 chirp that I bought for the old boat and never installed. Which would you tend to lean towards for preference? I find the Raymarine a bit difficult to use and the screen is very small. Any advice would be great cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
