Good point. I was using the gumoku storm lures 20g and xrap on a 6-10kg rod ... fast and slow retrieval. . Never any hits on it so wouldnt know how it felt like. I'll try for some livies next time. Thanks for the advice mate. Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Gday, Headed out this morning for some land based fishn at 5am line wet around the Middle harbour area in the chase of Kingies. Fresh squid, not live though, bummer ! Fresh Prawns in the esky, live worms and 2 rods geared for hard body lures. Taking all my chances with the gear I got hits around half hr into the session, however no hook ups ... moving on around an hour in BANG light gear rod decides to bend plz kingy plz kingy ... decent fight but turns out to be a 32cm Bream... cool, but still determined for a king! Continuing to fish with squid strips, whole squid on 2 hook rig, prawns worms and over 100 casts of different lures... no sign of any Kingies only 2 by catch rays. Session ends 11am. BEEN CHASING JEWS AND KINGS FOR 3 YEARS I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING WRONG OR MISSING SOMETHING any advice would be great! Another beautiful morning for a fish!!

I'm Kay, been following the raider community for quite some time however never joined in with a post because I never had a decent catch good enough to brag about haha but hey still fishing strong! Ill cut to the chase.. well over past six months been interested in buying a project aluminium boat from a close friend which at the moment has it in his backyard with mother nature growing plants out of it. It has a decent 2008-2009 yamaha 4 stroke motor which seems to be in good order however needs some steering work done to it. The hull comes from the Allycraft family however not sure what model it is. I'm looking at making it a centre console however with tight budget due to being injured off work. Any help on pricing on the following so i have an idea on how much these projects are worth. - running the steering - console kits and mounting - replacing the flooring - not sure whether to use wrapping for the outside of the hull or doing a respray. Any info on the above mentioned would be great. Thanks Kay
