  2. Hi all, I'm planning to go fishing tomorrow afternoon and stay until midnight more or less in Coogee. I'm thinking fishing with a 50 cm leader 20lb a gang hook 4/0 with whole pilchard and a sinker on the bottom. Another one I was thinking is fishing with a classic paternoster with 1 meter leader 15lb and two hook with cube of pilchard and sinker on the bottom. I would like to try my new lure for Australian salmon. I bought in two different colours, blue like sardi and gold. Can some of you give me some advise? Is Coogee a good spot in late afternoon and night time? I really want to cacth Australia salmon or some good fish. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. I want say thanks to everyone for advise about rock fishing!!!! I knew many of that thing but safety is never enough....... Thanks thanks thanks also because many of you know I'm new in Sydney and fishing around Sydney! I used a paternoster with two single hook and cube pilchards on both. I'm sure now that was a good time fishing salmon as many of you told me best time to catch salmon is sunrise and sunset, so Thursday I will go early morning and I will use a ganged hook, on the bottom, with whole pilchard and a single hook with cube pilchard, on the top. Finger cross

  7. Hello guys, I have been fishing today in Maroubra. I started about a 8:30am and I finish at 3 pm. I fix the line with a paternoster with 2 different hook (I don't remember the size) and a sinker on the bottom (20gr). Leader line was about 1 meter and I used 10 lb. I used a philchard in both hook. The day has been amazing but weird. I catch 2 whitin, 3 flathead 1 was illegal, 2 flounder (25 cm about) and 2 Australian salmon (20 cm about). So was a busy and funny day but my questions are: Why I catch so many different fish? Why I didn't catch more Australian salmon? Should I change something next time? Any advise will be awesome to help me! Thank you

  12. Hi wangwang, Thanks for your advise?. Absolutely I will looking for you on Monday to say hi and why not we can fish toughetar, I normally to go to fish only by myself. Anyway I will use a pilchard (half) but when you fish with this kind of hook (4/0 3x ganged hook) you leave the line hard and the sinker on the bottom or you slowly pullback the line? I have to use a paternoster with one or two hook? Thanks

  18. After a long research on internet, I found this: Shimano Raider Travel Inshore 904 Shore Spin - 4 Piece Fishing Rod what to do think? The length is 2.74. Line weight 4/7kg Lure weight 10/45g Might be good for start?
  19. Thanks to everyone for your helping. I was looking for shimano Raiders too and I didn't know was a good start. I would like to ask something about this kind of technical fishing. When the range is like 1-3 kg or 2-4 kg and so on, what is meaning the range of fish that you can be able to catch? What the different about long or short rod? Can I know in base at what I have to choose? About the lure always there is a range also like 2/5g or 5/7g or 7/25g and so on..... Is better to buy a rod with range that cover many different grams like 7/25g for start as me or better something more specific with a short range of grams? Thanks for it I hope someone will help me
  20. Hi guys, I bought the soft plastic lure and I'm new on it. I realise that I need a different rod and reel for this kind of fishing. I would like to ask which kind of rod and reel I need to buy. I like to buy a good stuff and I really care about the brand ( I think it make always the different). If you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to write me. Thanks Andrea

About the knot do you think I have to do it very tight to the lure or must be a bit large so the soft plastic can move liberally?
