  3. Hi guys, I'm back as always for asking your help again! I realise using fresh bait is better than frozen. My questions today are ...... Where can I find fresh pilchards? When I buy it, how have I to keep it? How many days can I keep before put it in the rubbish? After a day fishing, can I keep it again for reusing as fresh bait? I think I have ask all I need to know, but if I'm forgetting something please add the advice. Thanks for any help Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I think the spot is too depth approximately is about may be more then 15 meters. Only to understand the depth I was in Dawes point close the Harbour Bridge. If you know the place you can help me. I'm sure both of you are right and I can fish with S/P there also with only a condition, use a heavy jidhead to touch the bottom and keep it there easily. Which kind of S/P may I use there? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Guys, Maybe I didn't write very well cause my English [emoji17], I like and I say thanks for all this different technique you suggest me, but unfortunately I already fix the pilchards in a plastic box. First step I leave the pilchards defrost and all the water come out. Second step I putted in the box first layer with salt (about 2cm) and then pilchards and so on until the box was full. I leave the box cover with different plastic bag in a sink for 12 hours and when I came back today there was still water inside the box and salt. I removed the water, keep the salt and I added more salt where needed. My question was: After all this steps I did good to put the pilchards in the freezer with salt? I have to keep until I will use it inside the box with salt or after a while I can remove the salt? How I have to bring with me the pilchards? I keep it in a box with salt or I can bring without salt? Let me know Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks flatheadluke It's totally different that I did [emoji17]..... Anyway now I have not time to buy others so I will use your technique. Ect time! Really thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Hi everyone, I'm here again to ask and learn a new think for me! I bough a 1kg bag of frozen pilchards and I would like to know the process for salt it. I already put in a small box a different layer of salt and pilchards until the box was full. I leave it in the laundry sink. How many hours I have to keep the pilchards under salt before are ready? I have to keep it in the freeze or can stay in a dry place? When I will go to fish how is the best method to keep it in a good way? After my day fishing can I put away the pilchards I haven't used and re-use it for next time? When can I keep it? I know there are many questions sorry, but will be amazing help me to learn another think!!! Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Guys, If you look better and select reel and rod the price is $99. The first price that you read is only one item, click on the icon that say "combo" and another page open and when you add rod or reel the price change in $99. Anyway still good price.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Hi fishos, I would like to ask some advise about beach: Which kind of gears I have to use? Which bait? Which fish can I cacth? If someone can help me it will be amazing. My rod is a Shimano sentina nano series 10'6, weight 4/8 kg, lure 15/60gr. My reel is a Shimano baitrunner 4000 OC Thanks guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Maybe Budzsta You right!!!!! Yesterday I thought the gutter was deep enough also because when I started after one hour high tide was coming...... I cast not really far but I tried fishing close the gutter and after when it's didn't works I cast a bit more far. Anyway next week I'll try again in late afternoon before dark but I will change the bait, maybe I will use a prawns worms or squids. About this weekend I can't go to fish because I have to work all weekend! If you want come on Thursday afternoon you are welcome. Let me know Good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Hey guys, In trying to learn fishing here, it's so different then in Italy. At the moment I fishing only with pilchard, and I never tried other bait, I think I have to start to use it. I'm not trying to catch only salmon but I thought that pilchard cover a lot of different species of fish. I normally fishing in Watson bay between the main beach and the other one, in a mix bottom of sand and rocks and only two weeks ago I started fishing in Maroubra. My gears are rod Shimano Santina Nano series 10'6, file 4/8 kg and weight lure 15/60gr and Reel shimano baitrunner 4000 OC. I think those gears are good for beaches and rocky place. I bought a different soft plastic bait and some jig for catch squid but I realised I need a rod more light, somethings like 2/4 kg and short. There was many fishos today at the beach and they were catching nice fish that's why I'm sure I wrong something with my gear, maybe bait and so on......I tried to spy them and see what they was using but they were a bit far to see properly. As I said yesterday at the beginning of this post I used a 20lb leader with two hooks, classic paternoster with sinker at the end, and than I changed with a gang hook 4/0 with a whole pilchard and sinker and the end. Both was an unsuccessful. Someone can tell me what I wrong? Which other bait is good in this period during day or night on the beach? What can I cacth now? Which kind of gears I have to use as leader, hooks, sinker and so on? I would like to learn and I know that the street is not easy but I have all the patience that a fishos should have!!! I hope you guys expert fishos can help me given to me advise. I'M NOT ASKING A NICE SPOT....... [emoji23] Thank Andrea Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
