  6. Soccer saturday and sunday. will be going to port kembla on saturday arvo, was there last week and a school of tailor came thru, but kept biting me off + kept getting buried by something, smashing prawns and heading for the rocks below in a big hurry,This week i have upgraded and bought some nylon coated stainless leader material. Hoping to post a succesful report following the session.
  7. The lure they are used on have an area to attach it to/in.I dont think it is designed to be used on any lure, just theirs.
  8. I have just recently read an add for Pro-troll E-chip lures. The lures contain a stainless steel tube with a stainless ball inside that strikes a creamic crystal at one end which produces a tiny electric impulse to imitate nerve discharge of a wounded baitfish. I am just wondering what everyone thinks about this technology, and if anything like this would be allowed to be used in competition? I read it in NSW fishing monthly. there was website listed which i am just about to check out www.protroll.com Stephen
  9. also have never used them, but if they still pull fish in that condition might have to try some, problem is most of my fishing is shore based.Like the look of 306 or 307 but.
  10. Im probably lucky i dont drive past any water on the way to work or i probably wouldnt end up to work

  21. Went out in botany bay with a friends dad.The plan was to go out and drift near bare island for a while then meet up with one of his mates at Watts reef. Got out on the water about 1:30 and headed out to bare island for a drift.Landed a few nice flatties,a couple of occies,a squid and a flounder,on several passes of the drift. About 3:30-4:00 we headed over to Watts reef to meet up with others. We anchored up and for about 1hr watched as the others landed fish after fish tryed rigging exactly the same with same bait, length of leader etc.but still no luck. They were catching trevally after trevally, and were only about 15m from where we were. Just before sunset we started to land afew, also caught a few slimey mackeral and small tailor. Conditions out in the bay today were perfect,no wind, little swell and plenty of sunshine. We ended up with 6 flatties,a flounder,3 slimies a squid and a couple of occies. soory no pics.
  22. As i do a lot of fishing by myself i have a back pack that i use to carry everything.I have plano trays i carry in it,with 1or2 rigged plastics of each type. I have sections of sp's rigged on different weight jig heads.I than just keep the rest in the original packets in the front pocket of my backpack.
  23. Finally i have a weekend off from have been offered a spot with one of the ladies from team(i am manager for All Age Ladies soccer team) dads.he has a 21ft?(havnt seen it yet,it is under covers). The plan i think is to head off from botany bay out to the FAD.hopefully the mahi mahi will be there to play with.It has been a while since the last outing,so i am extra keen to get out for a I went to K-Mart today and stocked up on tackle(20% off until sunday). hopefully will be posting a good report and pictures during the weekend.
  24. Great to hear the dollies are still around, hoping to try for some on the coming weekend. Keeping them in those sort of numbers(40 & 600 odd for season) is just ridiculous . Bag limits are there not to exceed,NOT to achieve
