  9. It was a 2" sandworm new penny colour and I think on a 3gram head
  10. Went for a fish yesterday with Brother in-law (Gulp) in Port Hacking and started of pumping for some nippers with not much luck. Anyways gave that up and started to fish soft plastics around Port Hacking near jibbon heads and in and around some of the bays. Not much action at all just little fish everywhere! Towards the end of the fishing session ended up near Gannons Bay all nippers gone and just fishing soft plastics I got a HIT, and boy did it HIT!!! My Stradic was screaming and only fishing 6lb had to let it go and go and go....eventually I started to get some line back on, as I had to because of all the near by moared boats. At first I thought it might of been a small kingy or jewie but when I got it closer saw that it was a thumper of a Trevalley, after a little mission of its own to get my bro inlaw to net it (with broken little toe), got a quick measure 59cm, some pics and then let it go to fight another day. 12. Hey we were fishing right next to you guys on sat in the small white tinny with stickers all over it. We were watching you guys hook up each time and were pretty jealous. We tried but with no luck which was probably good seeing as we only had light bream gear, but I think at the end of the day it was the downrigger and live baits that did it for you, will probably have to invest in one soon! Great report and nice fish
  13. Yeah its pretty frustrating when you can see them but can't hook them. At least you got to take home a feed, well done.
  14. Awesome fish gotta love that congrats to your kid
  15. where abouts did you manage to land some legal snapper in botany? what baits did you use?
  16. Its not for myself for a fellow fishraider Narges1 who is already there. All of those types of areas would be good. He mainly uses soft plasics but will use baits.
  17. Hi does anyone know any good landbased fishing spots for Forster to Tomcurry???

  20. Nice fish, where abouts are the goal posts?
  21. Yeah no conservation in Mauritius! I am from Mauritius and I find it a little upsetting when these monsters caught are kept but I think that the island being so small, people there can only get so many and there must be heaps more fish like that out further in the ocean. A very tasty fish though, most of the Marlins caught there go to restaurants and export.
  22. Nice Fish guys, guys did a lot better than us, we couldn't even get our anchor to grip over near the container wall!!!
  23. Just wondering if anyone knows what the charging voltage of a battery should be when the motor is going at high revs. The motor is a 1997 Johnson 30HP and we were getting around 12.3 volts across the terminals underway. Is this normal? How can it be fixed. No other instruments were being used at the time?
