Went for a fish yesterday with Brother in-law (Gulp) in Port Hacking and started of pumping for some nippers with not much luck. Anyways gave that up and started to fish soft plastics around Port Hacking near jibbon heads and in and around some of the bays. Not much action at all just little fish everywhere!
Towards the end of the fishing session ended up near Gannons Bay all nippers gone and just fishing soft plastics I got a HIT, and boy did it HIT!!! My Stradic was screaming and only fishing 6lb had to let it go and go and go....eventually I started to get some line back on, as I had to because of all the near by moared boats. At first I thought it might of been a small kingy or jewie but when I got it closer saw that it was a thumper of a Trevalley, after a little mission of its own to get my bro inlaw to net it (with broken little toe), got a quick measure 59cm, some pics and then let it go to fight another day.
