Out yesterday below Lower Portland, for a few hours. Caught and released 2 good perch and one little estuary cod, all on Hawkesbury prawns. The thumper pictured put up a great fight, no idea of the weight but it realy gave my light gear a workout.

G'day all, I have an old hull that is rated for a maximum of 25hp. My old evinrude has finally given up the ghost and needs replacing. First of all, I understand that new outboards are rated at the prop, since mine was a 1977 unit 25 hp, I am guessing that was rated at the power unit. So what size donk do I need to be looking for? Do I go new or second hand and what brand? I would prefer to go 4stroke, but price might mean I stay with 2stroke. Thanks in advance for all advice
