I WAS OUT THERE SATURDAY FISHING FOR BLUE EYE WHICH BOAT WERE YOU ON. SAW 2 LARGE BOATS AND THE 2 HUNTERS. WE TROLLED A FEW TIMES BETWEENS DRIFTS FOR YFT AND HAD 3 HITS FOR NO RESULTS. HOPE FOR A FIN SOON. STILL A FEW BLUE EYE OUT THERE. REGARDS THE WINCH.

WE HAD A BLUE EYE FISH ON THE 25TH OF AUGUST. THE CURRENT WAS .2 NEXT DAY WAS 3.5 JUST A TIP GET A GOOD DAY AND THERE ARE HEAPS OF BLUE EYE OUT THERE. FISH WERE 8KG TO 18KG. ENOUGH SAID. REGARDS WINCH.

To Ross and mr Swordfisherman. Cooked up the Snapper last night it was to die for. Very very finely diced onion, tomato, shallots, ginger touch of pepper. The reason you have to really finely dice it is it makes it into a great sauce for the fish. Add some butter, olive oil and white wine. All in foil for oven. Put in Fridge for 1/2 an hour. I thought the photos were going to be of the boat washed up on Foreshore Drive last week. Where is this boat washed up at, I don't reconise this area. Regards Winch.

Has anyone else got good reports about a good trip away.

I was bustin to fish this week end, but I'm going to re rig all my fishing gear instead. The weather is not kind. A mate rang me last night, he just got back from a surfing trip to Samoa. There were a few days with no surf so he had a charter fish. He caught big eye tuna, blue fin tuna, wahou, spanish mackeral and a 60kg+ yellow fin. He says the fishing is great. Around those Islands ( Samoa, Tahita, Fiji. Etc) they have been catching yellow fin up to 85kg in the last month. Japan I belive can not fish in these waters. The trip for 2 weeks to Samoa with air fare and 2 weeks accomadation cost him $1700. It could be somewhere at looking at. I'm on a mission next weekend bring on the yellow fin. Regards Winch.

OK I'LL TRY A BOTTOM BASH FOR BLUE EYE ABOUT 7AM. 10AM I'VE LOST 12 SASH WEIGHTS AND ABOUT $100 BUCKS OF RIGS. OK I GOT NO HAIR LEFT NOW THEN IN THE NEXT HOUR AND A HALF I FINISHED UP WITH 5 GOOD GEM FISH, 3 ORANGE THINGS AND SOMETHING THAT LOOKED LIKE A DEEP SEA MOWIE 3-4KG. IT WAS NOT A BLUE EYE. DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN. THAN ON THE WAY BACK ABOUT 30KM OUT 100'S OF DOLPINS AND BIRDS WERE PUTING ON A GREAT SHOW SMASHING UP I THINK WERE A SCHOOL OF SOWIES. HOPE EVERY GOT SOMETHING TODAY REGARDS WINCH.

THEN POWER BACK EITHER CELIBRATING A GREAT TRIP OR THINKING ABOUT FISHING WITH YOU NEXT SATURDAY. 9.. NEXT SATURDAY BEGGING YOU FOR A GOOD FEED OF YELLOW FIN.
