Yeah think illl do that just leave them on the jig give it a rinse and only keep the same lures together in their own original packaging

Okay cool so just rinse them then put them back in original packaging and we’re all good for next session, I seen on a video they put some sort of scent on them maybe 50-80 casts

Hey raiders, just wondering if soft plastics can be re used if they haven’t been striked or haven’t caught any fish. Was going to rinse them off in fresh water and then put them back in the bags for next session ?

Yeah that’s what I’ll do I’ll keep them in the original bag and then throw them in a sealy bag just for that extra protection as for the metal lures and hard bodies I’ll rinse them off with fresh water before storing again & the jig heads will be attached to the soft plastic which will be in the bags, so I think everything should be sorted now !

I’m gonna just put them back in the packet and keep all my soft plastics in the packet from now on and only my metal and hard bodies in the container along with the jig heads

Ahh damn, so they’ll get ruined if they are in same box as other soft plastics even if they aren’t touching each other ? @xerotao

Okay cool, it’s a Plano tacklebox i dont know if that’s some type of material ? How about other plastics opened in tackle boxes

Can’t yoy mix different brand of squidgies with other brands ? Even if they are in a different slot ? And puddle as in melt ?

Yeah I think I went wrong with the hook size, I think I should be right with putting them on the jig head cheers

Hi raiders Today I bought my first lot of soft plastics for the first time , I got 100mm flick bait, 100mm fish, 2.5” bloodworm & 100mm curlz. I wasn’t sure on what weights to get so I grabbed 1/4 , 1/6 & 1/8 with a size 1 hook. I’ll be chasing flatties in estuaries and lakes I’m not sure if size 1 hook is to small or not think I’m just overthinking this to much.... any opinions on this please. Cheers Kaneo

Awesome I wanted the 2-4kg rod but that was only the one piece I needed two so i got the 2-5kg

Hi raiders, My girlfriend bought me a new fishing rod setup for lure fishing today, Only catch is I have to wait for Christmas to have it I went with a 7’ 2 piece Sahara graphite 702sp 2-5kg rating. (Originally I was going to go 2-4kg but that was the one piece rod it’s a bit easier having the two piece for transporting) Shimano Sedona reel 2500 Shimano 6lb braid Black magic fluro carbon 8lb leader Will be mainly fishing Bass, Flathead & Bream

I’m new to the bass fishing game , well I’m acruslly new to the whole lure game. The misses is getting me a new lure fishing setup for Christmas so over the Christmas break I’ll be chasing bass, flathead & bream!

I might have to try a different lure to get deeper I’m sure mine only goes about 50cm-70cm below surface !

Hi Raiders , I went out to Camden napean river for the first time today , It was my third time using lures and trying to catch bass. We launched the kayaks around 3:30pm and didn’t catch anything until around 6;20pm then we caught a total of 3 within a period of 45 minutes. Think this was the better time of the arvo to go.... We went to early and left to early, next time we’ll arrive later and leave later for a better session, overall was a good afternoon and great weather. Cheers Kane

Seems like an all round good setup , I’ll be buying this setup with shimano gear & see how I go. Once I learn to use lures properly then I’ll buy a second setup with a bit heavier gear to chase bigger fish, I just need to get the little ones first ! Ahha

I haven’t purchased this setup yet or started my lure fishing but this will be what I’ll be using. I’m thinking all shimano gear though graphite rod ?

Hi Raiders, Whats everyone running for their lure fishing rod setups & what type of fishing are you guys doing with lures. I’ll be running 2-4kg spin rod with a 2500 reel with 6lb braid and 8lb leader chasing flathead & bream in the lakes and estuaries. Fishing from the kayak and on shore ??

Thanks mate, I’ll try get exact same setup. Not to light not to heavy sounds just like what I want to do. Hopefully I can catch with the lures though !
