Hey Fishraiders! Im taking my boat out for the second time ever this saturday morning if the weather conditions are good. I have little to zero boat experience and was wondering if minamurra river would be an alright spot to learn in as it seems to be safe with locals kayaking and paddle boarding there. I've been kayaking there twice but never been in a boat. Im taking a friend who has owned a small tinny before like the boat we will be taking on the weekend, hopefully he can do what he says he knows haha. So all in all hopefully its a good day and a good spot for a beginner. Also anyone know some hot spots there i could catch a few lizards or bream Cheers Kaneo

Hey guys ! I went out for a drive today through the royal national park to bundeena. And to get to bundeena we have to go past audley flats, I had a look on maps & didn't know that it's apart of the hacking river so if I kayaked from there & went up towards the hacking river it would 'take quiet a while but just want to know if anyone has fished just a bit further up from audley flats & if it's worth going there . What type of boat mate can a tinnie go fish there ?

Thank i might give that area a try and have a flick for some freshwater fish, it might be a bit harder for me since I haven't fresh water fished before

Yeah I will be only taking two of us out the next trip and definitely putting it in closer to where I want to fish , with the 8hp motor it takes to long to travel if I put it in at milperra flower power

Yeah next time I will be definitely only going out with two of us and I will be putting it in a area that is closer to the fishing spot I want to fish in cause with the 8hp motor it takes to long to travel in the Georges up towards tom uglys bridge

Hey mate , I should update that. Yesterday was the first time out in the boat & I didn't get to fish properly because I put my boat in milperra at the flower power and because I have an 8hp with 3 people it didn't travel fast enough so we only went to the speed camera that's further up about the rivers towards the ocean but I didn't even close !!! Next time I'm going to put the boat in at a closer ramp , thinking of sandy point. cheers!

Hi all i want to take my tinnie to a fresh water river and try do fresh water fishing which I haven't done before. Are there any fresh water rivers not to far from Macarthur area Sydney !

Yeah I had 3 of us I think 2 people is good just to learn and get used to it!

So don't travel away from them or let them hit you sideways , hit them on a angle going towards them? @Fab1

Hey guys ! Today was the first day I went out & the first time I had driven a tinnie. I have a 310 dart with an 8hp mercury outboard 2 stroke. What way do I travel the boat when waves come off the passing boats towards my tinnie , I'm worried I'm going to flip or sink the tinnie ? Alll in all it was a good first day, next time maybe only 2 of us on the boat cause the motor quiet small. Cheers ??

Thanks mate ! I like the look of that. My tinnie is the same bottom as yours, is the bondcrete for the edges to stop water getting in between the layers of ply ? Where do you get the allow to fit the same or have to make yourself cheers kaneo

@Fab1 not sure how to reply to your message. so I can just cut out pieces to fit straight into bottom that is removable and not worry about the aluminium being to weak & rubbing through ? So it will just fit underneath the bottom of the carpet on either side ?

Hey guys! New to fishraider , this is my first post. I have just purchased my first boat , 310 dart aluminium tinnie I'm keen to build a flat floor for the middle part but I have no clue or idea on how to do it. I was only going to cut out the marine ply and just leave it removable in the bottom but I'm afraid it'll rub and go through the aluminium or bend the two support strips that run across one side to another. cheers kaneo!!
