  1. Last night off the jetty, had 2 smaller squid chasing a pink Shimano EGI around but not taking it. Put on a berkly blue jig same size and caught them both on consecutive casts? Was very surprised !!
  2. Same with me ! Does my head in, I pack up and leave or find another spot. Not worth the dramas. I often have a back up plan for if my spots taken or there is some other issue. Good luck
  3. That's a nice fish! Well done

    Simple snood

Cheers guys, had a go last night and the knots held together nicely. Havnt tested on a decent fish yet, but in thinking my Jinkai is about 10 yrs old !!! Might be time to replace !
  5. Hello, can anyone tell me if the Simple Snood for multiple hooks is OK for 100lb Jinkai ? I have tied a couple up and the line looks like it may start to unwind itself when not under tension. Would hate to loose a good fish because one had slipped. Any advice appreciated. Thanks
  6. Another great idea, I did go looking for the jewels once in a Mully, but gave up as I ended up just choppin away at it. ( probably should have googled first ! ) Fishing weather improving so heading out for a fish tonight so fingers crossed ! Thanks again for that info
  7. Wow ! Cheers for that, will definitely try that if I get the chance again, thanks for putting it up.
  8. Thanks for the replies everyone, I'm going to pump a bit more grease in each side, put a new cap on and tape them up. Cheers, Marty
  9. Thanks everyone, that head skull ornament idea is great, pity I threw the head n frame back in the drink!!! Doubt I'll ever get one that big again. What's the best way to clean the skull ? Ants ?
  10. My best snapper by miles and it came off a beach!
  11. Hi everyone, some bugger flogged one of my bearing buddie dust caps yesterday at the boat ramp while I was out. Didn't realise till wash down at home so it was missing while I retrieved the boat and went underwater. Still heaps of good grease in there, but do I need to pull it all apart and repack? Any advice be good thanks
