When using the sinker straight to the hook will your bait float and your sinker be on the bottom?

Hi guys As I have little experience in deep sea fishing and am slowly gearing up just wondering what rigs and weight sizes ect the more experienced deep sea guys use. I was thinking of just using braid to the fg knot then 1-2 meter of mono leader then have a ball sinker straight down to the hook will that work? Do l need a swivel? So I can start making some rigs ready for the day out. Cheers

Hi guys l have been looking at the range of cals grease and want to save a bit of money which grease in the range can you use in all parts in a reel that require grease and l can use on all my different size spin reels?

I would recommend just using braid then tie the fg to mono. Mono leaders out perform fluro by a mile why pay more when you can get mono which is basically the same but better breaking strength for the diameter and better in knots which is very important.
