  1. I do however remember in my last boat I run my accessories off a second battery because every time I started the motor I don't know kept on blowing the zena diode in my live bait tank timer.... In my opinion more power the better never know might have to jump start the car or whatever reason if the boats big enough and quick enough why not hey

  2. Hi guys just wondering are yous running out of juice or what's the reason for a second battery ( electric motor) etc. I run 2 in my boat but only coz I got an electric motor and the main motor / lights one was all ready in in located at the back but I had to get a bowmount didn't I haha

  3. Couldn't help myself got the young bloke up at 430 this morning headed to Gooloogong Bridge ( lachlan river) my hopes weren't high for fish due to the recent rain was flowing pretty hard we were only there for half hour..... BUT the lure was a success so happy first of all the action was pretty damn good it was moving like an inch inch and a half each way a real good walking action then I tried using it as a popper and was making a real good gloop and splash one thing I did notice but was a Lil nose heavy and when left started to sink but what I noticed when  I let it sink at my feet was that  it sank with the wobble also rising with the wobble to wasn't quite as much as when I was walking it but I really hold high hopes for this lure on Wednesday when we head to wyangala dam.... I know I said this lure was made to be lost in my previous post hahaha think I'm already attached to it think I'm really onto a winner here really hope I get my first murray cod with it would be so much sweeter, also to show my boy that it's not all about spending and buying  that you can make stuff just as good and that's how they done it before mass production ?

    Cheers guys

  4. Hi guys had a couple of hours spare yesterday and how expensive lures are these days thought I'd have a crack,  I had some hardwood timber stake offcuts from a previous diy project not much of a woodworker as I'm a welder by trade lol ummm here we go,  I started off with the off cut  then proceeded to shape it with my trusty cordless angle grinder with a flapper disc on it got some shape to it and used a engraver to try to get some detail in it,  drilled some holes used 316 MIG wire for the hook and tow points , then I used some builders bog to fill the holes, then I was going to use some polycarbonate then thought mmm might go jitter bug style so I grabbed a spoon cut and shaped it used a 316 screw to hold it on then I sealed it sprayed it with red calliper paint haha it's all I had in the garage, once dried I raided the missus nail polish drawer and used some black on the but ( don't know what its supposed to resemble but anyways) once dried I gave it a shot of some clear and here we are a nice 150 mm top walking lure  can't wait to try it .Guys and girls it's not the best looking lure but made with a bit of love only took about an hour of work rest was waiting for paint and bog to dry lol and casting so close to trees and stuff was designed to be lost ... Having a Lil trouble uploading the pics that I took so bare with me and I'll try to get them up or if anyone could help would be awesome I tried resizing them but it's not working ?

  5. Damn come to think of it not sure if I ran it dry I usually do just had so much going on the beast has taken a bit of neglect... Well not any more ?time to show her some love... Maybe a shot of carbon cleaner to

  6. Thanks guys yeah it was run dry.... Going fishing brought up a good one.. I have an o4 Yamaha 60 hp God knows what fuel it takes any one know?? Maybe I'll do what rick said and yes it all hopefully ? and start using 91 with a stabiliser.... Has anybody done away with their in hull tank for the good old red portable ones... And yeah I'll go out there tomorrow see if I can take the carby bowls out and just inspect them...

  7. I looked at the stabilisers are they all the same or as per usual the priceyer lol (I think I made a new word) the better.

Sorry for starting a new thread guys just didn't get the info I was fishing for

    ?

  8. Thanks for that rick... I have to actually just that this boat costs around  20 grand and my other boats were around 5 didn't really bother me... That's what I was thinking it only has about a quarter of a tank was thinking of filling it with 98 and its not premix its injected.... My other motors were pre mix Mmmmm decisions decisions might see if I can get any out with the syphon and if not yeah just go it.... Thanks once again rick

  9. I have an inboard fuel tank what would be the easiest way to drain the tank... Syphon hose I'm guessing? Never had an inboard fuel tank before makes it trickier

  10. Hi raiders.. Recently I bought a nice quintrex tinny it has a 60 hp oil injected 2 stroke yammy on the back just wondering I haven't used it in about 4 months how long would the fuel stay good for?

    Cheers
