  1. I checked out kayak2fish actually but wasn’t sure on how it would go with the pedal system has a small propeller im waiting to get released bro that’s probably the first place I’ll go 😂
  2. Hey raiders, after being locked down for 8 weeks now I’ve spent most of my time online researching what I can about fishing, gear, local water ways on the DPI etc, I found myself looking at hobbies though I don’t need to upgrade my kayak yet I don’t doubt that I’ll need to upgrade in a year or two anyways. I was just wondering if anyone else had some pedal kayaks for fishing that were cheaper reliable and also had good enough capabilities to get me through a big days fishing, I guess I’m just window shopping because I’m bored and there’s nothing else to do right now, so if anyone’s got any brands or info on good pedal kayaks I’ll be keen to have a chat ! Also with it almost being bass season I was wondering if anyone had any good spots to drop the kayak in on the Nepean river between Penrith and Camden I’m located around Camden and fish the upper end of the river but I’d really like to crack some bigger fish this season and hopefully crack a 40cm one out of my local river Bents basin is a stretch of the river is really like to try but just unsure how to get the yak in around the area, I didn’t have much luck around Camden last season I found some numbers all around the mid 20s but no bigger models, I’d also like to try any water ways down south around the Wollongong and the south coast if any one has any ideas of where I can target some big natives If anyone also needs to chat I’m all ears just in general about anything, remember it ain’t weak to speak it hope all my fellow NSW neighbours are holding their heads high during these tough times, not long before we’re out of this lockdown to enjoy summer together 🙌🏽 SWFisho, Tight lines
  3. Yeah bud I’d say so hopefully some silver perch head down river to I’ve heard there’s a few in there
  4. I’ll have to check it out once I’m out of lockdown! I’m keen to tick a trout off the list
  5. Thanks bud, that gives me hope I’m heading down to Camden airport I’m gonna try off the bank there first off and see how I go, I’ll head to woolies and get some bread and corn and keep you updated hopefully I catch a big mumma!
  6. I’m located down the Camden end of the nepean river mate where abouts was the rowing club located
  7. Gday fellow raiders we’ve been in lockdown for our 6th week here in Sydney and with a 10km radius to travel I’ve got the itch and Carp are the only thing on the radius with a few local ponds stocked with bass. I know bass in dams would hold on the deeper edges but not knowing how to fishing the winter bite where would the best area to find them in a pond if it was stocked with bass? Also lure selection? I know how to fish for bass during the season but if I’m able to find some bass stocked in some local ponds I’m hopeful to catch these brutes all year round! I'm also thinking of heading down to the neapean river to try my chances with Carp as the bass would’ve well and truly headed up river to spawn by now, but I’ve never chased wild carp and with a system as big as the neapean I was wondering if anyone had some pointers on how to catch fish in such a big system I’ll be using all my light gear so gear won’t be an issue, I’ll be using bread and corn with burley in the area also fingers crossed I can get that feeling off a fish after feeling like an inmate for 6 weeks already! hope all my fellow Sydney siders also doing it tough stay strong during these tough times 🙌🏽
  8. I might launch from a ramp in chippo and try my luck with the tides and eddies I’m heading out Monday morning but I might hit the woronora im guessing it’ll be the quietest area giving its long weekend I’ll keep everyone updated
  9. Me too I reckon all the fish would be schooling right and the end of the river as well they’d be close to the weir on the fresh side
  10. I know the George’s has picked up over the recent years I know sometimes it’s hit and miss and other times it’s on fire
  11. Gday fellow raiders, I’m going to hit chippo lakes or surrounding areas in the coming weeks to chase my first saltwater bass and fingers crossed EP, I’m located in campbelltown and fish the upper George’s regularly and I drive straight past chippo it’s only 25 minutes from home and I’ve heard and seen some good fish pulled out of there, I plan on figuring out the system to hopefully fish it regularly as I don’t get much time on the water. I know the fish are currently spawning up so I’m guessing they’ll be all schooling up towards the end of the system if anyone has any tips or headers I am all ears, I’ll be fishing out of a kayak also so if anyone has any spots to launch from as well that’ll be a pointer in the right direction. SWFisho, Tight lines 🤙🏽
  12. I paddled about 1.2 maybe 1.5km I’ll be heading deeper into the river next time I feel like there would be some good fish up there I seen plenty of bait in the area I was fishing
  13. Thanks for the feedback boys really helpful 🤙🏽
  14. I launched from the park across from the RSL club near a little inlet and paddled up river just past the last jetty’s then drifted back, I’ve fished only fished the upper end once and now the upper reach once, I’m still new to this part of the river so I’m not exactly sure as to the places your referring to but I’d be happy to learn more about the system
  15. Gday raiders, hit the upper end of woronora river for the first time on Sunday morning, I initially went out chasing bream and Eps and hopefully a sneaky bass but the tide had started to turn and as a result most of the snags were starting to be exposed so with the tide running out the flattys were turning on. I got a few tips off the hunt for bronze about the area and lucky enough I was onto to some fish in no time, a munroes 2.75” paddle tail in motor oil and zman 2” grub in watermelon red on 1/16th jig head done the damage for the day. I was lucky enough to only lose one fish for the day on 6lb the fish were definitely testing me having to retie my lure on every couple of casts lol. The biggest fish went 52cm with a few in the mid 40s and a handful of smaller tackers, all in all it was a successful morning on the water. All fish were released to fight another day. PS. If anyone fishes the woronora regularly my Dm will be open to any tips or spots 🤫 lol Follow my Instagram to follow my fishing journey footage coming soon, Tight Lines🤙🏽 - @SWFisho
  16. Any news on if we’re allowed to fish there? Who knows what fish could be in there fingers crossed for all our sakes it’s open to fish
  17. nice fish mate I’ve been fishing around picnic point but hitting the structure along the river and came up undone chippos next on my hit list 👍🏽
  18. Yewww congrats, I’m a regular George’s river fisho but have never fished chippo I’ve been searching for the elusive EP hopefully this winter I crack them!
  19. I thought they would follow some of the same traits as they’re close cousin the bass but they’re a lot harder to find, maybe I’ve gotta travel further upstream to find some heavier structure! I’ve only got a basic sounder so it’s going to be even more of a struggle with out a side scan, so after all this effort I’m gonna be pumped when I land one, thanks for the pointers champions
  20. Hey raiders, im after the elusive estuary perch I searched for them in the George’s river last winter as I fish it on the regular but can’t seem to find the any EPs if anyone’s got any pointers on the George’s or anywhere else so I can tick this Aussie battler off my list 🤙🏽 Tight Lines ..
