Hi Donna, apologies!

Hi everyone!
Looking for some recommendations for some areas that would be ideal for people with a physically disability to access.
Snuck out to Wollongong Harbour two weeks ago twice in the early morning on the rising tides and caught crap all..
Thanks in Advance guys,
Ozy.

Very choppy out there mate, last week in particular

Is it worth using a metal lure in a harbour?

Just don't promise them too much or you'll end up with no fish!

A well-constructed story of persistence Zoran interlaced with some appropriate pics. Very well done on sticking it out and getting a feed. I don't fish saltwater very often and am bemused by all the comments about leatherjackets being an unwanted nuisance fish to encounter. Does nobody else in Australia (apart from me) eat them? I actually think they are a good target species and quality on the plate. Maybe I am easily pleased, then again I wouldn't eat Carp. Not knowingly anyway. Cheers, bn
I eat them an encourage many fishos to do the same, they are a good eating fish and sustainable with plenty of numbers out there.

Mate of mine goes round to Clifton Gardens and basically lowers a crab net with Burley in it. He get 5-6 in one hit. He bags out in less than an hour on those sods
Nice! yeah i saw a young boy use a crab pot in one of my local harbours, got a few leathers, don't know what else he was trying to catch but he threw them back in..

Some beautiful looking flathead fillets there Zoran!
Hahah i liked the whole leatherjacket head piking, if only fishos would target and catch them, then there would be less of them out there stealing our gear!!

Nice man, yep im at uni too and i am itching for a fish but too busy with assignments and what not!
Can't wait till summer break, ill be fishing as much as i can.

Allot of fishos think that the fish they use for bait has to be fresh, but in fact the more off the fish the better as it smells more, a fisherman told me this a while back..

Also if you are a pensioner you can be exempt from paying the recreational fishing license.
If this is the case please call your nearest fisheries officer and they can assist you in figuring out if you are exempt from paying.

I really like the Squidgies from Shimano, really good quality plastics.
In particular the bio tough range. When i first started rigging soft plastics to jigs heads i wasn't good at it and probably re rigged over 50 times and the soft plastics were still in good nick after being poked several times..

Here have a look at this video from my good mate Scotty Lyons

I only use braid as my gear is all used for several types of fishing. I would happily fish using mono to if that's what was already on a reel.
Yeah I am the same Jon. I use braid as my mainline and then tie mono or fluro depending on what and where am fishing.

When did you last fish at Lake conjola? I've been there past two summers and its been pretty grim.
Especially last summer, the stench of the lake was really bad...
