Headed out Saturday morning around 6.30am with my 14 yr old son and a couple of his mates. Pumped some nippers at Maianbar before the rain started. Managed to land a number of bream as well as a flatty just under 60cm, Trevally at 47cm and a Trumpeter Whiting from the channel in front of Maianbar. This was between putting the bimini up and down to take cover from the scattered showers. Rain finally eased so we went and pumped some more nippers and continued to fish the channel in front of Maianbar adding a few more bream to the catch. Headed over to one of the sand bars as the tide rose and managed a healthy catch of Whiting (1 at 40cm), a Leatherjacket, Flounder and more bream. The wind came up from the NE but the fish kept biting. By 1.30pm, we called it quits with the fish still biting as we had other afternoon commitments. Excellent day on the Hacking.

Went out today on the Hacking for the first time after many months. After spending an hour pumping nippers, headed off for a fish. I wasn't high on expectation as I thought it would still be a bit too early in the season for a decent catch. Ended up being s solid catch with a massive Leatherjacket, 35cm Bream and a nice haul of 9 Whiting to 40cm being the highlights of the catch. As the weather warms up, I am sure the quantity will increase.

Hi All. First time post. Been following for a long time and decided this catch of Whiting, Bream, Trevally and Flathead from the Hacking on Good Friday was a great way to start. 17 Whiting in total with a number around 40cm. Have been getting great catches out of the system of late. Some notable catches on prior trips include a 44cm Whiting last trip (caught by my brother) and 42cm the prior trip (myself). Also plenty of Bream on our last outing prior to the big wet. Have always fished Botany Bay but have started to get good results in the Hacking. Hopefully keeps producing before the weather cools down. Would have attached more pics but it will only allow me to attach one.
