  1. Trevally certainly do fight extremely well especially on light gear.
  2. Hi raiders, Headed to Yowie bay boat ramp for the fourth consecutive day in a row as I've been having a lot of success their in the past week. Started of with peeled prawns and caught o couple of small jackets and then had a big trevally follow my plastic up to the jetty, sooooo close. Fished for my max 2 hours and as I was reeling in the go home something smashed my prawn. Got it in and it was my 3rd big trevally in 4 days!! Absolutely stoked. I think I'm on a bit of a hot run fishing with the high tide change😉
  3. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Thanks for the tip!
  4. Hi raiders, Headed to Yowie bay boat ramp today again hoping for a 3rd consecutive trevally in as many days. Again I fished the last hour and a half of the run-in and the first half an hour of the run out. No luck with the trevas today (couldn't cast into the channel because of the southerly wind). Ended up with a couple of jackets under the jetty pretty decent size. Not as good as a trevally but i'll take a feed of leather jacket any day
  5. Yeah It's Yowie bay in the port hacking
  6. Hi raiders After yesterdays episode of catching a lovely trevally I decided to head back down today. Got to the jetty at 9:30 and fished the last hour and a half of the run-in tide and fished the first half hour of the run-out. About 20 mins before the tide change I hooked up to another good trevally! Absolutely stoked! Measured in at 38cm, just smaller than the one yesterday. Home By 11:30 following Covid restrictions of 2hours of fishing permitted. It's not long but it's long enough to have some fun.
  7. Hi raiders This morning I went down to Yowie Bay Boat ramp and had a ball. Got up early and had a line in the water at 6:30. Fished the last 3 hours of the run-in tide and caught a couple of small pinkies and tarwhine. 30mins after the tide turned i hook up to a dead weight. Brought it in and realised i had foul hooked a monster trevally. I was using a paternoster rig with 2 hooks each with a pilly fillet. The greedy bugger had both hooks in his mouth and the leader was wrapped around his tail. After that not many bites. Packed up at 11:00 and home soon after with some lovely fillets for lunch.
  8. Hi raiders, I am new to Fishraider and would like some help on finding some live bait in the hacking. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers. Isaac
