Hi All,
Strange post this one , let me explain why it is strange.
Fishing my local area Yarramundi last Friday afternoon chasing the usual fish like Bass , Carp , Trout etc using a beetle spin felt a solid hit and some head shakes and thought to myself that does not feel like a Bass!
Well it surely was no Bass.... A very healthy Dusky Flathead came up and ate my lure right at my feet!
In absolute disbelief that a Flathead would come so far up river into the fresh i took a few photos and released back into the system to fight for another day.
So the next day I decided to target Flathead and switched over to soft plastics to see if anymore were about.
The next hour my son and I caught 11 good sized Flathead and a Trout!
Decided to keep 3 fish for the table and let the rest go.
All fish were chockablock with small fish so maybe they travelled this far up into the fresh to eat them?
Was strange but fun few days.
