  2. i had twin 115 suzikis on my shark cat 140 were the same bore and stroke

i can tell you the difference in the old v4 johnos 85hp and 140hp same block older brother was omc master tech he built a cracker of a v4 50kns on a 5mtr fishrader quinnie

    1 different exhaurst between 85 90 100 125 135 140

2 different carby jetting you cant make hp with out burning fuel

    3 different ignition advance

its all about fuel in and exh out my 1994 4cyl merc runs on 2 cyl at idle to pass emmision stds then clears out a 2500 rpm

there are lots of outboards with the same bore and stroke just different parts to make them more powerfull and more thirsty

    hope this helps

  3. a good older seafarer 4.75 i fished in one for years by myself easy on and off the trailer will fish 3 as well i know of a real good one if in sydney allways under cover with a 70hp

it belongs to a mate who wont use it any more

pm me if interested its the first one with a factory pod and self draining deck

  4. years ago a church group beat a sick blue shark to death in soth west arm

big sharks will go int river systems when sick as food is easer to catch there

also remember two white sharke killer in sussex inlet when i was yonger they were speared in the inlet very skinny for there length

i have only sen one large hammerhead in the hacking myself at the enterence with an incoming tide chasing mullet

also a white that used to live off sydney had a scare on its face came to the coastal areas as well told this when i used to gamefich with botany bat gfc in the 80s

  5. we are moving and i dont have to sell my boat. been out of port kembla twice first time jan last year caught neaps of just leagal kings but sent them all back second time in nov but it was rough for a few under size reds.

i was thinking those brakewalls should hold fish as everyone including me goes out to the islands.

anyone fish them as it would be similer to botany breakwall i have caught just about evey type of fish anchoring and burleying near them also trolling along them as well.should not these methods work on the breakwalls as long as the sea is not too ruff

  6. one year the port hacking 100 was cancelled due to realy bad weather.we had a 28 foot berty at the time and as i was the skipper i had to take it back around to the georges.

traveling throught the swell the boat broched and i was slipping down the wave in a 28footer.full power was asked of the twin 305 chevs and i was surfing a 28ft berty fun but shitting myself at the same time.got a 18ft shark cat after that and comeing home from marley point jumped over a wave and went straight through the next one.very wet

been in a lot of bad weather but those two stand out my fishing mates call me storm boy have done for years

  8. hi

i fished that area for 21 years it is one of the narrowest part of the river so tidle flow is fast as i lived on never fail bay nth side only bothered with the top of the tide one hour each side slak water is not for long.caught some big blackfish buy the nort pylon out of my little wooden row boat.plenty of fish in the middle 60s to 70s in that area even my older brother caught a 6 ft shark at green point once in my 10ft row boat.it was a great place to grow up then the oyster farmers knew dad and they all looked out for us
