Hi Roy Boy, i have twin 90 Optimax motors and have just looked at my servicing history. I have completed a 20 hour and a 100 hour service and does not have any 50 hour service in the warranty book. As long as you follow the servicing schedule in your maintenance log book, im sure you will be right. Cheers Lee

Hi all, late report from yesterday Saturday the 31st. Caught 2 fin one at 10 Kilo's and another 24 Kilo. Also picked up a Dolly on cube. Cheers Lee

Hi all, Struggling to write this post this evening as my back feels like my Assassin 24kg rod (all bent out of shape). I drove myself to my cousin’s house at 5.00am where we sat down in front of the pc looking at all those beautiful warm currents just in reach of our trailer boat. This was the first time for this season for us and all the conditions looked in our favour. We got on the water at 6.30am and pumped straight out in Steve’s awesome Sailfish to the desired temp break, 18 degrees jumping to 21.5 by around 7.45am. Surprising me we were the only ones out there besides some big albatross that looked at me as though I was it’s lunch. We then started throwing our cubes out 1 at a time and not even 5 minutes into it Steven was on and not even 30 seconds it sheered through his 60 pound trace. Soon after this I was on, and the same thing happened to me. Anyway cut the story short we lost about 6 strikes all up in a matter of 30 minutes, we both thought this has to be a shark, so we decided to up the trace to 80 pounds just in case it wasn’t and held back on the wire for the time being. As we were changing our traces I saw a yft swoop past the back of the boat collecting the mail for his mum and dad. This thing was big and proved that the fin were there. Suddenly Steve had a run on his 25 kilo and this time proved to be a solid hook up. After around 10 minutes I could see that this thing was taken the better end of Steve’s back so I offered him the gimble and harness, which he gladly accepted. I thought it was quite funny because I have never actually caught one this size and has always looked so easy on a video. After another 20 minutes Steve had it to the boat and the pressure was now on me to gaff the darn thing, and what do you think happened next?, “I missed”. I could actually read Steve’s thoughts, or was he saying it out load. Anyway things happened (sorry Steve) and we finally boated it. Finally it was my turn round and after 30 minutes of reorganisation we had yet another happy customer that wanted to taste not on this site 9/0 hook with a solid hookup. I finally understood why Steve did not want to talk as he was trying to be brave on the whole matter. I must have wished for the line to snap at least 10 times as this thing meant business. The fin was boated in around 30 – 40 minutes Steves 7.2 Sailfish Sorry for rambling on peoples, but it was an exciting day for Steve and i. I am looking forward to next Saturday for another session weather permitting. Cheers Lee
