Another popular spot is at the back of the blowhole, but caution needs to be taken. On the northern side about halfway along the rock platform I have seen people throwing squid jigs. There is a kind of bay on the southern side, you can spin for bonito etc there. Lots of people live bait from the back of the blowhole but the swell can wrap around making it at times dangerous.

Hi team, I was recently bitten off after a few big hits by what I assume was a shark while livebaiting whiting for jewfish at corrimal beach. Are there any beaches in the Illawarra that consistently produce shark? have read the other threads re beach burley, wire leader etc. just wondering as to best location?
