hi all once caught a bully mullet on weed in narra lake also fishing in my dingy for flaties near pipeclay point caught a 18kg jewie thought i had a pike eel on or a monsterous flatie i had 3handlines out with slabs of tailor and 1 spinning rod that i'd bought at grrrrrrrr the day before spooled with 6 lb mono and a 2/0 longshank hook typical it hooked up on the rod 1/2 hour later after cutting other 3 lines and anchor rope it surfaced like a submarine broke the landing net nearly tipped the 6ft dingy over could not believe my luck peter

if you can see the yakkas in the burley and they wont bite try grated raw potato [1 handfull ] its worked for me sends them into a feeding frenzy peter

fished run up tide wednesday for 10 blackies [not big but legal] plenty of smaller fish 2bust ups on good fish peter

not uncommon to get blackies on bread especially with the bread burley surprised they took it with the lead so close to hook peter

its the next point in towards the beach you will see rod holes [4] with initials snb carved into rock besides them you may have to walk from beach or take same track as the ovens another track goes off to left and down take 12ft of rope and your there but take care also take spinning rod good bonito salmon walking around to the spot would be easier peterb

try fishing south whaley just inside the live baiting spot below rayner rd burley with bread cungi for bait or bread cubes i use 25lb maxima 2xstrong 1/o hook ball sinker running to top of hook alvey 650 9144 rod tighten up drag full on and hang on dont forget a long gaff peterb
