Just the glass tip snapped off where it joins the fiberglass. It was a six foot rod, the one i propose to attach it to is just under that length and is mostly used for spinning.
Thanks for the help,
Tom
Recently one of my light 2-4 kilo rods snapped in half, so as i stared at the broken pieces i had the thought that maybe i could attach the intact glass tip to another rod to extend it.
How could this be done?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
I've heard before that you can eat rays, but given that they're so slimy and unappealing i've doubted their edibility.
Does anyone eat rays here? Any ideas?

hi all i'm looking to go out on a fishing charter this holidays and i'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I'd like to catch kings, jewies, snapper and go outside of the harbour.
any suggestions woukld be greatly appreciated.
I just got myself a new 4-6 kilo baitcasting rod but i need to find a reel to match it with.
i'll probably be targeting anything from flathead to tailor and maybe small bonito or kings.
preferably in the -$200 price zone.
any thoughts, the daiwa coatal inshore special looks good.
going down Thursday night, any recent reports or advice? I'm taking some friends and I've raved about the fishing down there so could anyone tell me where to catch legal, salmon, tailor, mullet, jew, etc.?
I live locally and I'm just wondering what species to target around middle head in Sydney harbour.
Would appreciate any feedback at all as I just lap it up and absorb it like a sponge, it helps tremendously!
Hi all, in Sydney it's been raining for days so does that mean that I should get out fishing or wait out the rain? I've heard that I should fish on the edge of the dirty water mark as the fish in the estuaries are pushed out by the fresh. Any ideas? This is the extent of my knowledge about fishing after rain so if you guys could fill in some of the gaps I'd love to hear from you.
Hi all, I recently purchased a baitcaster reel and rod but don't know what line to spool it with. I've heard that fireline is good but it's expensive and I've got some old mono just sitting around. Please tell me which lines are best, it is rated to around 14lb line.
Thanks for the insight
Also I've learnt that there are some artificial reefs in St. Georges Basin and Salmon and Tailor are taken from almost all the beaches.
The local butcher had some pics of locally caught fish on his wall and among the monster flatties was an incredible 60lb Jewie from Berrarra beach.
Unfortunatley the photos were pretty old and I havn't heard of any recent monsters being pulled up.
I'll keep trying and come summer I'll go for Bass in Wandandian Creek.
Cheers.

that's a beautiful fish you're holding in that photo on Balmoral Wharf. What did you get it on? Bait or Lures and which ones as I fish there often but don't know what to use for the jewies. Also what time and tide?
Cheers, and hopefully I'll see you out there some time.
G'day, I have a holiday house at Berrarra near Swan Lake (On the south coast just south of Jervis Bay) and I'm wondering if anyone knows any hotspots for any fish.
I have a small inflatable boat so can venture out a bit but generally have to stay inshore.
If anyone has any info on best baits, spots, tips and more I'd love to hear from you. Seriously, absolutely anything!
cheers
