  3. hi to all Raiders Went out for my last fish for the week, took my folks and younger brother out. We had a late start for the day and left the ramp about 1 in the afternoon, blasted it out to the 120m mark and dropped our lures and started the waiting game. It was about 3 hours before we had our first hit the shot gun went off, it was my black bart lure the reel started to scream the old man picked up the tld 30 and held on and i mean held on it did not stop the real pealed off 2/3 of the line so we dicided to step the drag right up to sun set did nothing it just went on, it got down to about 70m of line left on the reel when we notised that the line was crossed over on the reel then snap it was all over. The fight was on then off with in a min there was only one tone that came off the reel it did not stop for a breath, after scratching our heads we dropped lures it was not long but we had a nother hit it was a small dollie about 60 cm. That was the last hit for afternoon we dicided to head back in as it was dark and we had a long way to go, it was a interesting day . clifford

  9. fish lexic and i went out about 7 and headed out to the fad we dropped our first bait, we pulled up a rat king the next was the same the third was a dolly just leagel. We had a couple more drops with a couple more rat kings, so we disided to head out to the shelf after about 2 hour we had our fist hit that was very short then stopped, then the out rigger went next with in 20 seconds that also stopped before we could say what the hell the other out rigger went, that stopped as well. As we went to check lures the shot gun went i crabed the rod and it had a good run for about 15 seconds then nothink. Fish lexic said he sore a marlin in the spread so we set the lures again and did a u turn about 10 min later we had the rigger go off about 10 min into the fight we sore colour it was a dolly, 20 min later we landed it.It was about 1.2 meters and about11kg so we dropped our lures again 2 hour later with no other hits we headed back, over all it was a good day.

  25. hi to all raiders, yesterday we left the ramp at about 6 and started our way threw the heads it was very choppy from the southerly but we pushed threw. We hit 12 mile and dropped our out riggers the first lures went out, it was about an hour before the first lure went off it was the shot gun it only took 3-4 min till we got colour it was only a little stripey so we pushed on. A couple of hours went on we hit the shelf and beyond then the shot gun went off again 5-10 min later we got colour it was a albacore we gaffed and got on ice, we changed some of the riggs around and started again. It did not even take 10 min before a double hook up came around , this went on for about 2 hours then we decided to go for some thing bigger. We trolled for a couple of hours only got 1 more albacore then made way for home. The water temp was only about 19.5 but there was a lot of bait balls on the sounder about 30m down, all fish was about 3-5kg.
