  1. gday we have a large plastic barrel - abt 100 litres when full, with a bilge pump which pumps the water in the bottom and a drain near the top. will keep tham alive for about 8 hours but u hv to keep the water circulating all the time. cheers
  2. great day out today, but not much to report. left roseville 6am. trolled north head to fairy bower. the northerly was already up by 7/7.30 making it a bit sloppy in the tinny. couple of bonnies nailed with rapalas kept one and smoked it this arvo which will be nice. a huge school of salmon just inside between north head and old mans hat - several boats working them, but no hook ups - they seemed very fussy. back home 12.00 however a beauitful day cheers
  3. no joy today either - very windy and a little choppy. will bash em again next week cheers
  4. be careful there and try to keep any valuables etc very secure. recently young idiots apparently coming in by train to brooklyn, going to the ramp, smashing up cars/trailers etc for what they can easlily get, then disapperaing (again by train). the long arm of the law takes some time (up to 2 hours to get there). its a real pita cheers
  5. left rosy ramp 0630 and picked up my mate and rhe dog from tunks. tried to get some live squid at the usual spots around balmoral and middle head, zippo. then headed out nth head/manly direction trolling various hard/soft lures - again zippo - and the wind was blowing 7 shades of you know what. no birds working - guess they got blown away.... back inside trolled dobroyd/washaway - again zippo. tried wedding cake/channel markers and even no jackets there either. bit of a woftam anyway was nice and warm (nearly hot), and beats working back to the golf course..... cheers
  6. gday went there abt 4 weeks back and did ok for kings near pt perp, but watch out for the mp boundary and also the bombing range. we were in a boat and we got chased away by serious looking guys with guns etc, dressed in black, in a big rubber ducky that looked like it cud do 100 knots....
  7. gidday i've been to lhi a few times and by far the best fishing charter for kings etc is with a guy called jack schick. he has about a 30 foot plate boat excellent for fishing and has first class gear. he is also a guide who takes trips up mt gower and mt lidgberg. any local tour operator on the island can put u in touch. he also goes out in most weather, which lots of the others wont if the weather is a bit rough. mainly fishes balls pyramid. good luck
