With respect Ross, One fishermans once in a life time catch is not going to affect the world Mako population.
The fish was filleted and shared amongst the crew from what I saw. Then the carcass was disposed of at sea. Nothing illegal or immoral there.

planning a trip to iluka over xmas does anyone know where to catch squid up there, im thinkin of catching squid down here and taking them with me, it would be better to catch squid up there though. thanks fellow raiders

i have a 4:75 stacer only a few years old with a yammaha 60 on it this is a top boat for the size very stable in any water i always venture to the sydney and botany fads but you do have to pick your days, as for the 40 hp mmmmm just my opinion but its a little too small, you can run out there all day with it, but just choose your days mate

hi guys going to take the boat out tomorrow in the river and take my two young daughters, never fished the georges river before, just want to go somewhere where i can catch fish no matter how little,bream flathead's,,, its just a fun fishing day for them, any ideas would be appreciated and the ramp i would hav to launch from ....happy new year

Tides were not important at all Sunday, fish were on before high tide all the way to low tide in the evening. Water temp changes seem to be the way.
Though generally I would say tides are very important.

my partner and brother went to botany bay under the brigde to score this fat little jew, they went to their usual jew spot only to land the eel, it went 7 kilo it was over 5 foot long, do people eat the eels tey wernt sure and let it go......

hi raiders, just posting a pic of my boyfriend and brotherinlaw,they got this jew in their secret place on fresh squidstrip they caught earlier in the day, believe me this fish went well over 20kilos .......
