hi i have a new minn kota 55 lb .took it out to day worked well for 30 mins then seed up to flat out and sayed there even when the speed control was on the min setting you can move the speed control up and down but it just goes flat out .could it be a bad pedal or in the motor .not happy. pappy cheers

thanks i will check the plugs and see how they are .i always use new fuel and brp fuel conditioner .as i said it only does it at about 2000 rpm could a bad plug miss fire at just that rpm and not at all rpms .cheers pappy

hi all i have a 2008 40 hp etec and it starts and idles ok but when it in gear and moving and it gets to about 2000 rpm it runs a little rough like is missing as it gets past these revs it runs ok right out to wot at 5800 rpm .is it the plugs or is it the motor changing from low to high rpms .cheers pappy

not shore if they pressure tested it they just told me they had checked the fuel system as it only does it on hot day it probably is expansion i will leave the tank vent open and see what happens. thanks pappy

hi i have a 40 etec 2008 mod and when i have it tilted for towing on hot days i get a small amount of fuel leaking and running out the bottom of the cowling it does not do this when it is running or in the shed when tilted down had dealer check and replace vapor separator and said he could not find any leaks old separator was ok no leaks .has anybody else had this happen.thanks pappy1

thanks for your replies guys .the lure i got the redfin on were jackall tn 60 in ghost color &ecogear blades 35 mm light colors but when they are on the bite they will have a go at anything you cast at them. cheers pappy1

thanks fisheroo .they are quit good on the plate and as they are a pest fish with no size or bag limit i don't mined taking a few of them to eat as i release most native fish i catch. cheers pappy1

i all want to burrendong dam cod fishing yesterday but unfortunately no cod but did get a feed of red fin .they were rely on the bit i got 18 dropping lures into schools of fish while trolling for cod two mate who fished just for the red fin got 90 fish .cheers pappy1

hi i have a eagle 242 and it draws only 250milliy amps it will run for a long time on even a small battery .i think they are called a eagle cuda 300 or a cuda 350s with gps $190 to $ 399 depending where you buy . go with led nav light as they draw very little power i would say you could run them and fishfinder off a car battery for a day or to fishing .cheers pappy1

hi all i have a 2008 40 etec tiller and would like to no if i can connect it to a lowrance 520c fishfinder with nmea 2000 harness to show engine data.

The carp do seem slow but they go pretty good once hooked especially on light line.I sight fish for them in the shallows with soft plastics its top fun. And the yellow belly were taken on medium stump jumper in carp pattern and deception shrimp in crayfish pattern. Thanks for your replys Pappy..

hi i fished burrendong dam today to see if the cold morning had stirred the cod up but i fished all day for no cod .but i did manage 3 yellowbelly and one carp so the day wasn't fish less hopefully with sum more frosts the big cod will come on .pappy

hi mike 500 gph is the amount of water the pump will pump in one hour but that will depend on the height of the out let and also any restricting in the hose such as to many elbows .also a 4 meter boat can hold a lot of water so a 800 or 1000 gph would not be overkill. cheers pappy

hi if you put the inlet at the bottom of the tank you will have to put a non return valve in the line or it will drain the water out when pump is off i have had 3 boats with live bait tanks with the in let at the top and all have worked ok .hop this helped pappy

sounds like you have the live bait tank sorted out and a new gps is the way to go .taut lines pappy

jason i am not shore about the gps but with the live bait tank the drum would be ok but i would be fitting it in the center of the boat against the transom and i would fit a duel battery setup you than can still have one as a start battery and the Arther as a house battery that way you can use ether one to start the motor if one should pack it in .if fishing offshore duel battery are a must in my book .hop i have been of help. pappy
