What lovely fish if i can get one i would be stoked.

hey guys, just a quick question how far out from shore do u guys go and also what depths do you guys fish. im thinking of heading out tommorrow around 5 islands but dont know if there is any action. Any tips and info on rigs and what baits and plastics to use would be great. Atm the only bait ive got is fresh squid heads that have been frozen. thanks in advance Howbzr

hey Dont feel bad on my prior outing at windang i only managed 3 prawns and the lake was full of jelly fish. 13 prawns is 10 more than 3 lol good luck with future prawning ventures Ivan

hi guys Just a quick post was at the entrance on sunday and picked up 2 flathead and 6 whiting then when the water started to run out grabed the prawning gear and got my self about 3 to 4 kilo of prawns. the flathead were taken on poddy mullet had about 15 mullet which lasted like a whole 45 min. cheers

nice report mate. that warf spot you were fishing is normally full of fishermen. I like fishing there fore the flatties. one day i might even try a few drifts on the boat. i know they are there. If all goes well with the weather will possibly be there friday night the entrance not far from the channel or i might go up to swansea with the boat if my old man wants to come. cheers Ivan

Hey flathead Fanatic Iwas land based on the caravan park side about 250 metres from the car park towards the channel. the bigger fish seemened to come on at about 10. I was using tube worm and squirt worms. Where abouts were you fishing flathead fanatic and how did you go. Cheers Ivan

Hi Guys Fished the entrance from 7pm to 2 am with a mate. cought about 80 whiting. some nice size ones off aprox 32cm were kept and the rest released ended up taking home about 30 fish. Also for all you prawners the prawns were running hot. they were everywhere shame i did not take my prawning gear All in all a good nights fishing Cheers Ivan

Hi All Just another post went up to the entrance for a fish got 2 nice blackies 33 and 35 cm and bagged out on my limit for whiting. whiting were taking tube worm and squirt worms. Hopefully can get up there some time soon. well atleast i wont be buying fish for a while Also the inspectors made a visit which was great. they made a couple of fishos next to me throw in a few undersize whiting but i dont think they fined them. It pees me off when these people keep on keeping undersize fish knowing that they wont get fined. In the last 10 years going up to the entrance I have never seen one fine issued Cheers Ivan

Hi All Ive just signed up to these forums, so yes im another newbie. Well with the fishing now! I arived at the entrance at about 4pm had one line out with whitebait and worms (2 hooks) and then started fishing for the blackies. There was plenty of weed available right along a section of shore line so fresh weed was no problem. started to fish and the downs just kept coming. in about 3 hours caught 6 blackies smallest 30cm largest 37cm and lost about another 6 or so right there in front of me as i had no net u try drag them up on the sand. By the way i forgot to mention the other rod that was sitting there with the whitebail got smashed once which the fish almost pulled in my rod holder and all. I managed to have a little fight with it as i did not see it the TWANG lost my hook. I suspect a big flattie got the beter of me and cut me off with its teeth. All in all a great arvo might head up on Sunday again if the weather permits. Cheers Howbzr
