  12. G'day raiders, Went for a fish off botany today with my brother Tom AKA Uglystick. Plan was to head out wide and try and get into some big fish, NO SUCH LUCK , although we did get see a small striped marlin come up to the surface and say hello in about 150m of water. We trolled around browns for a few hours, 5 or 6 km north, south and east of it and the best water temp we could find was 19.9, 20.0 degrees. We decided to head back in where we sighted the stripey and when we got there we come across a hell of alot of birds going crazy on the surface, our thoughts THERE HAS TO BE FISH HERE !!!. So out comes the starlo stix mid spin with chrome metal on it and first cast in the boat comes a striped tuna . in the kill tank he goes, another cast and the bail arm on the stradic 4000 clicks back over mid cast and that was the end of that lure . We started to troll some little tremblers around and got 2 hook ups and droped both fish at the boat, don't think the hooks set. Forget this we start cubing and get them around the boat and off goes the stradic once again after a bit more drag screaming action in the boat it comes . That was it, after that they went quiet, spooked i guess . Anyway all in all a good day out on the water and back at he ramp by 4pm.
  13. G'day raiders I'm heading out wide off botany tommorrow with my brother to try and tackle whatever will hit our lures and baits. If anyone is going out there it would be good to catch up over the radio RE: fishing reports. I'll be on VHF 21. call name DALMATINAC Cheers

  17. Hello fellow raiders, I will be going to nelson bay port stephens for a holiday at the end of the year and am considering leaving my boat in the marina at nelson bay so i dont have to tow it to the ramp every morning. I was just curious about flushing the motor, Do I have to flush it if it will be used everyday?, somebody once told me you dont have to but im not completely convinced. Some input from some more expierienced boaters would be gladly appreciated. Cheers.
  18. OFFTAPP was out at browns and got onto some fish.
