Tried to go out wide today and try my luck for some of the tuna that is around off sydney. Should of stayed in bed. First up was late because of the time change and then when i finally got outside the heads i was getting smashed by some angry chop. Manged to get out about 6 mile before i was almost thrown out of the boat due to a wave smashing me side on and almost capsising me, that was enough for me, back in I went. Heard reports of some fin being caught at browns over the radio and i must say hats off to the skippers of the boats that were out at the shelf.

g'day raiders, I'm wanting to change the hooks on my tremblers from the treble hooks they came with but not sure if they will swim properly, i was thinking single (circle hooks) will this work?. cheers.

Went into the harbour today with my brother and our daughters, They had been long awaiting for trip out on the boat. We had a couple of squid from a while ago which had been resting in the freezer, put some strips on the downrigger and towed em around for a while but had no luck , might of been more sucsessfull if we were on the water earlier but couldn't wake the girls up to early. After a short troll we anchored near south head and let the girls get in to some fishing. didn't take to long and they managed some leather jacket and something that looked like a rock cod but i'm not sure. All in all a fun day with the kids it puts a smile on my face to see em have a bit of fun.

g'day just wondering if anyone can help with some spots in the bay for kingfish, yakkas and squid. I'm not really familiar with the bay, never really fished in there only ever ploughed straight through on the way to the fads and the shelf. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers.

Hi raiders, just wondering if some more expierienced boaters could help me. I was reading an article about boat motors and was a bit concerned when i read that fuel sitting in your tank for long periods at a time (2 -3 months) is actually not good for your motor, something to do with the fuel seperating. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers,

i was out at the far fad this morning found it no problem but the close fad seems to have moved about half a kilometre north. while i was there managed 1 dollie just on 60cm .

yeah im goin off botany to fish the fads, see if the dollies are about. good luck wherever ya go.

long time reader, first time poster, Went for a fish this morning trolling some x raps and chrismas trees @ syd harbour fad. first pass hooked up a dollie got it to the boat and pulled the hooks . Then another 3 or 4 passes again hooked up, same result . Dont have much experience with these dollies , is this common?.
