    My 420 renegade with 50hp 4st

I don't have any issues with it listing with a side console and I'm nearly 90kg and fish solo quite a bit

My garage is only 5.4m so I had to get a trailer with a break away drawbar

It has some extras like plumbed front livewell and a rod locker and Ipilot electric motor

Ive had boats most of my life and this is the best riding hull Ive been in in chop and I have no problems taking it outside chasing reds and kings

    Daughter driving the boat

  2. I stand corrected if thats the case

I stand corrected if thats the case.

Easy to mistake the two The moses has the stripe which extends over the eye and the blackspot snapper doesn't Also distribution blackspot you wont find south of around Cairns but the moses Ive caught as far south as Port Macquarie

  3. There's fish in the bay we found water just over 20deg against a drop off and there were plenty of trevs schooled up with some flatties needed to downsize our lures to get them to bite but that's not unusual at this time of year Took a bit of running around to find them

  4. Fitted a stereo to the renegade Couldn't work out where to put it until a mate told me how he did his and this is the result

    Pretty happy with the result

  5. Theres several cod species that get labelled estuary cod but the only one you will see this far south is the blackspot quite common at Forster for some reason Three others that I know of are the redspot goldspot and greasy They can get confusing as the spots on the redspot and goldspot fade when they reach adult sizes

  6. I wouldn't go a drunken monkey or itchy twitchy for a general purpose light estuary outfit there taper is too fast I have the drunken monkey and only use it for gulp crabbies on light jigheads or small sinking stick minnows which it is perfect for A couple of mates have itchy twitchys and only use them for throwing cranka crabs on flouro The best all-round outfit I have and its used for plastics HBs and surface walkers is a shimano lure project minnow coupled with a 1000 stradic FI

  7. Paul Lennon is the angler This is the story

Pretty wrapped in my 14.510kg pending NSW record Snapper from last week which beats the old record of 13.7kg set way back in 1975. ... Its a bit bitter sweet for me as I would also loved to have watched this beast swim away. The fight however had taken its toll with a good ten minutes of it spent at a stale mate in which the fish was wrapped up in kelp not budging.Eventually we got the fish free but it offered virtually no resistance after that and came straight up to the boat. We tried hard to revive and get her going again but it was pretty obvious out attempts were futile. She will live on though just on my hallway wall. Thanks Chris Drake for getting some pics and being part of this special capture

  8. FC rock is all I use and never had a problem. A more likely cause is the knots Use a slim beauty or a FG knot for leaders and a uni knot for attaching to your leader. FC has a hard outer shell which gives it great abrasion resistance and is more prone to creating friction when tying knots this is more common with flouro leader than flouro spinning line which is much softer also some flouro leader is soft also as it is made for different conditions where abrasion isn't as much of a problem As an example I have caught plenty of good flatties 70cm plus on 4lb FC rock but when I was using seagar or vanish leader my lure losses to flathead was high with evidence of leader wearing through
