  1. Needed to organise tackle boxes in my boat as the hatches just open up into empty space so I took some measurements and started to look around for an aluminium fabricator Couldn't really find anyone(did contact brickman but he only does stainless) and then along comes a new fishraider sponsor in DM marine so I contacted Dave emailed a drawing and a couple of days later received a text that it was done so around to pick it up I went and this is the result though not finished yet need to get some ali rivets

in hatch which isn't square with four new plano prolatch 23700s

  2. Did you turn your live bait tank on? Could be fittings not done up properly or I know there was a faulty batch of livewell pumps a while back that leaked badly I had one in my boat and it was replaced free of charge by the dealer

  3. We get our bigger whiting in winter in deeper water I rarely fish bait so cant comment on that but my favourite winter whiting lure is a 35mm strike pro cyber vibe in colour 1460B Also from memory best winter whiting come in the afternoons/evenings in the week leading up to a full moon

  4. Yes, I still use them now and find them very effective on the bigger rainbows and browns in our local impoundments ;)

The smallest abu toby is a great trout lure Not sure if you can still get them I only have one left

  5. Good grief, talk about a memory blast, your mention of the Boyne River %%%%%ed my interest, so I looked at your profile.

I spent around 3-4 years at Gladstone as a teenager and where I really learned to fish. Boyne River, Awoonga Dam, Calliope River, 1770.

Yep Im a barney point brat as they called us kids that grew up in that suburb Most of my time was spent fishing as a kid and teenager when I wasn't playing or training for soccer and athletics in all the places you mentioned as well as Southend

  6. I used to fish with the smallest wonder wobbler in the late seventies mostly in the Boyne river Caught heaps of fish on it small trevally(gts diamonds and golden)as well as steelback queenfish blue salmon and plenty of bream both yellowfin and pikey

Maybe I should try them again as an alternative to blades

  7. Is it possible to weld two poles (put soft wrapping around them) on the back corners of the trailer? Does such a thing already exist?

Yes it does exist and they are bolted on with a roller on it

Paikea you may need to modify your trailer so it is self centering

  8. I've fished out of a few in tournaments and mates boats socially Skeeters Nitro Allison Triton and the aussie made prostrike I really cant comment on which is better but they are all very good to fish out of for estuary and so well setup for tournaments and can easily handle a bit of rough weather I can tell you though that a few mates have sold there bass boats and moved on to boats like Edgewaters so they can still chase everything from bream to marlin
