  4. Hey Sparky, Another spot worth trying is off the rocks at the Northern end of Whale Beach. If you follow the road down to Whale Beach and head past the entrance to the beach, continue straight along and follow the road around the headland (about 50m after hooking a sharp left) you'll find a small bush path in between homes which will take you to the edge of the cliff. It's slightly hairy decent but not too bad and you once down there it's a beautiful platform for spinning metal slices, floating out a ganed pilly or even lobbing a prawn into the wash. I've caught many a drummer down there predominantly but also some big salmon, tailor and kingies. Good luck,
  5. Hi Raiders, I'm a new member and this is my first post so howdy all!!! I've been fishing the harbour for many years and I've got the knack of getting a few yacka every now and then and converting into a few kings (managed to do so last Sunday), but I've never nailed that illusive (well to me at least) big Jew. I was wondering; Are they really only an option on live/fresh squid? and where in the harbour can they be found? I know that good Jewie holes in the harbour are probably like hen's teeth and if you don't wish to disclose that's cool....i'd just love to nail one of the buggers? Are there any particular tides that are preferred in Sydney Harbour? Day or Night? Cheers, Muddy
