  1. Took my 2 boys 6 and 9 yr out for a Marlin fish caught 3 big yackas great size for Marlin at the heads off Barrenjoey then raced out to the 30fathoms started trolling lures for 2 hrs in the same area not marking any bait on sounder but 1 boat just hooked up on livies so it was time to put the yakkas out and try our luck .30 min later 1 rod screamed off and a Marlin went airborne throwing the bait and hook bummer no hook up got the kids excited though so last 2 baits back out and 10.00am both rods scream off double hook up so I hooked the 1st fish up and give it to Noah and go and hook the other fish hooked him up double trouble off course Noah had the biggest fish and he was struggling nearly losing the rod so I put my rod in rod holder and go and help him out once I got him sorted I went back to my fish and he was gone so u took over From Noah and 30 min later a 70kg black Marlin stubborn fish Noah had no chance I was hurting but Noah did a great job driving the boat chasing the fish down the boys 1st Marlin and a very proud dad Liam took 43 photos a lot of water shots here is the best 3

  2. The only day worth going marlin fishing over the Easter weekend weather wise was Monday and it payed off conditions were perfect

Glen's first time chasing marlin ever his biggest fish a 5kg mackerel time to change that !![

We worked hard all day and skip baits worked well raising two fish before we hooked the 3rd fish

Glen was stoked his first marlin on his new boat 40min fight on 24kg

A bit sore from the fight but still can't wipe the smile of his face priceless it was a team effort and Scractchie with only 2hrs sleep come straight from night shift

Well done boys another great day on the water

  4. Well done mate. I was out there in a 5.5 centre cab, pretty lumpy. Went south and reached water up to 26.8 degrees however no hookups so we came back east of botany and got a strike in 25.8 degrees however the hooks didn't set. Its 3-3-0 this season yet to land my first. It sounded like a fair bit got caught up north.

bad luck on the fish vo2c88

Next time mate the water is looking real good in close now 40-60 fathoms and 27.5 on the shelf doing 3-4 knots

  5. Iam glad I was on a game boat today it was still a little rough outside. Warm water has pushed in closer 24 out the front .got our first fish today at the twelve mile a 40kg black marlin caught on a lumo sprocket released the fish water 25.2

Worked our way north to the wave rider buoy and long reef wide where we got another little black but lost him near the boat . Caught a few Mahi Mahi in the area biggest 8kg lots of tiny ones witch I think the marlin are feeding on not a lot of bait out there lures are working besthttps://vimeo.com/118393487https://vimeo.com/118393735

  6. Got invited out on a game boat Sunday I knew the weather was going to be good and my trailer boat would of handled it but you can't pass up the luxury and room on a big boat . Browny and I left Penrith and headed for Rose Bay mariner

When we arrived Mick greeted us with bacon and eggs that his decky Nathan was cooking on his Boat I knew it was going to be a good dayb1264c61b8fec5aa463f4e426dfbb9f0.jpg

We headed out Sydney heads got 15 slimies thinking that will be enough and headed wide

It was a quiet morning seen 1 boat loose a 20kg dolly trolling and we saw 2 free jumpers water was looking good 24.5 current lines everywhere around lunch time it started glassing out not much bait just scatterd stuff then 12.40 bang we are on long rigger lumo on 15 kg gets smashed and a angry little black grey hounding al over the ocean Greg was on strike and only been out a couple of times and got to work trying to get the 300m of line back it was a quick 10 min battle tag went in fish went crazy at the boat I was doing the video hoping I got all the close action jumps another couple of min had him under control took hooks out swam him and let him go

A nice healthy 60kg black marlin well done Greg https://vimeo.com/117785280https://vimeo.com/117785577https://vimeo.com/1177859050aa19ce5dd2adee99cbcf6d14b984f68.jpg

Ok put the lures back out and the Skip said anything else now will be a bonus we all agreed

We had a small black come up and smash 2 lures but no hook up then hooked a dolly and when we got him in there was a whole school of them following him up 6-18kg dollys everywhere so out come the live baits I knew we should of got more the next 2 hrs we caught over 20 Mahi Mahi keeping just 5 around 8-10kg lost a couple of big Bulls around the 18kg and released some Amber jacks and small kings 65cm of course we ran out of livies using strip baits and a popper in the end. Mick took the hooks out of the popper and was still getting smashed so much fun then Mick got the bream rod out and landed a 12 kg model after a long fight and let him go.This skip knows how to have fun well done Mick and Nathan had a ball won't forget this one for a while https://vimeo.com/117788199https://vimeo.com/117788340
